a blood test can tell your hormone level. If it is high, then you are farther than if it is low, but will not give a good due date. Just will tell within a few weeks.

Blood testing will generally let you know if your hcg levels are where they should be, and if they are increasing at the right amount. For finding out how far along you are, the Dr will take measurements of the baby with ultrasound, then tell you approximately how far along you are. After you start to show, the Dr will also measure your tummy area to see if you are developing along the same time line that has been established. Keep in mind though, if you are unsure of the date of the last menstrual cycle, or you have irregular cycles altogether, then it will be a guess. An educated guess, but still a guess. Don't be surprised if your due date fluctuates a few times.
A blood test given to you will definitely confirm hcg levels, and if they are increasing along properly, then the Dr has a guideline to how far you are estimated to be. Good Luck and Great Health!

A blood test will only determine your hormone level which isn't used for determining gestational age. If you know the last day of your period you can determine it that way or an internal (transvaginal) ultrasound is the only other way. I am sure you can find the calculations on how to determine it by date of last period on the internet. I'd tell you if I knew!

no, not as far as i know. Your doctor figures it out by the date of your last period, so the more accurate you are on that date, the more accurate your due date will be. But just remember, there's a +/- 2 week period on that due date. For example, I'm due on July 9. However, a healthy time for the baby to come would be anywhere between July 2-July 16..give or take a few days.

A blood test can measure the level of hormones in your blood which can provide a clue, but a more reliable method is an ultrasound which measures how big the baby is.

yes blood results can give you an approx. time factor, but the farther along you are the blood results are not accurate. An ultrasound or your last period helps the doctor determine how far along you are

A blood test can based on certain chemical levels in your blood, but the easiest way is to count forward from your last cycle.

NO. I think doctors determine that from the last date of your
period.
