My doctor is planning on inducing labor in the next couple of days but I don't know if that will be necessary as I am only one week overdue. Could this be the "bloody show"?

Yes, of course, I already have a call into my doctor.

Being pregnant and carrying a child is a not a thing to take risks with, therefore why do so many pregnant woman ask serious question to a bunch of people who effectively have no medical knowledge?

If you have a question about you pregnancy, should you not ask a Doctor or a Midwife?

Doctors as soon as i can, apparently they have had my urine results back from my first midwife appointment (I am 11 weeks & 4 days gone with my first) she said i had a serious water/bladder infection that had a special name beginning with A, cant remeber though, she asked if i'd had any symptoms i.e pain whilst peeing etc & i replied i hadnt. She then said usually it may cure itself but as im pregnant i need to get medication for it. She also said i need to see my doctor asap because it can be harmfull to my baby if left untreated. Now i am so so so scared because i could have had it for the whole three months, i just dont know. Please can someone who has had this please help me or at least tell me the worst case sinareo if it has effected my baby. Due to PCOS i have been trying for a year to conceieve this baby & I was so excited & now i am terrified. I know it is not a huge issue compared to other peoples complications but for a first time mum to be this is terrifying. Help

I saw this procedure on google video, a doc performing a cesarian, instead of cutting the muscles, he just pulled them apart, seperated them and held them out of the way... why do the docs have to actually cut them?

I am just wondering if you:
1) Got pregnant because you didn't have proper sex education
2) You knew everything about how to protect yourselves from pregnancy and still didn't anyway because of pressure from the guy
3) You didn't protect yourself anyway because you somewhere wanted to take the chance?

Would it have made a difference if you mother had taken you to an Ob/Gyn and put you on birth control? Would it have made a difference if your school taught you how to properly use a condom and to use it always?

Also, did you come from families that expected you to go on to college, or did you expect you'd go to college? I am just wondering how much education factors into the equation.

I wanted to know what the effect of continuing birth control pills would be on a baby if you didn't know you conceived. I missed a pill a week after my period by 5 hours (I usually take it at noon but didn't take it until 4:45pm) and my husband and I had sex that night (we both knew I had missed the pill and I know you can miss by around 2 hours and be okay, and I'm sure there's little chance I'm pregnant). I don't think I've had any symptoms such as sore breasts but I did have some very light pink spotting a few days later, but was just curious as to the effect on the baby. I've been taking prenatals for two weeks because we do plan to try in about 4-6 months. Also, I pee all the time but it's normal for me, I drink abuot a gallon of water a day. Thanks for your input.

I'm 11 weeks and all I do is snack all day, it's like I can't get full. I've never gained much weight in any of my pregnancies, the most was 11 pounds total, now I'm always eating.....what can I do? I eat fruit and I try to eat healthy, but I can feel that I'm gaining weight, and I'm not against it, but if I keep up this rate I'll be huge......any suggestions?

I think I am pregnant but a test taken last night ws negative, as was the last one I took 3 weeks ago. I do plan to see a doctor, so am not relying on this, but am curious, how far along were some people into their pregnancies while still getting negative results on home pregnancy kits and also, if you could name the brand you were using; I used Superdrug own brand ones...

My hospital has a policy of inducing at 12 days past the due date. I have felt all along that the dates are wrong and the baby will be late (of course i don't know this for sure, just a gut instinct). I don't want to fit into the hospitals policy to keep them happy and am thinking of cancelling my induction, or at least postponing it for another week.

Okay, so me and my bf been having sex since June, and since we been having sex my period date keeps getting pushed back (is this normal?), Like, back in June I was coming on around the 25, then in July it was like the 28, then Aug, like the 30, then Sep, I think I came on the 2nd, And so forth?? This has never happened to me until me and him started having sex, and he is my first so I wouldn't have any past experience if it is normal or not. Okay and about being pregnant, I was supposed to get my period the 5th because that's when I got it last month, today is the 9th but nothing, (and like I said my cycle has been changing like crazy, so I don't know), but I get this feeling like I'm about to come on, and I check and it's just clear discharge. Please help, I don't know, Sorry for the long question, just need help. Thanks in advance

Hi,

I had my baby just over two weeks ago and he's the best thing that's ever happened to me.

During the later stages of the pregnancy, I started to really worry about the labour and how much it would hurt. All of my friends who'd had children told me that yes, it did hurt, but it was a good pain and you forgot about it immediately afterwards.

They LIED ! I was expecting it to really hurt, but nowhere near as much as it did. If I have another child I'll definietly get myself booked in for an epidural !

My question is.... Am I just being a complete wuss, or is there anyone else out there who found it the most unbearable, excruciating experience ever ?

I was just wondering how many women had to have an emergency c-section, and what the dr's used to close it. I had to have an emergency c-section going on 4 years ago. They had to cut from hip to hip cause my son had the cord wrapped around the top of his head. After 11 1/2 hours of labor they did a c-section. After the c-section, the dr told me that all that was holding my insides in was, I think she called them tarry strips. They look like small pieces of glauze tape.

I always wondered and I've heard several stories about it but I'd like to know. Is a C-Section painful or what exactly do you feel? I've heard that all you feel is alot of pressure but I've also heard that having a C-Section can be dangerous too. How is it really?
