Just curious to know on average how much a placenta weighs?

hi i am 38 weeks along and this is my first pregnancy lately my tummy has been getting very tight i feel so uncomfortable. i feel no pain just stomach gets so hard then i get severe gas. 2 days ago it felt like baby had dropped but now it feels like he is back or something coz i cant breathe. How long till i hit labor and baby drops..and tummy getting so tight is that early sign of labor or something. its too tight i feel very uncomfy. please help this is my first pregnancy.

I'm 13 weeks pregnant and a fulltime college student. I have never found it so difficult to concentrate until this semester. It's not that I have a lot on my mind, I have minimal stress in my life but I find myself extremely tired most days. Is this normal and something I should expect with pregnancy?

Im a first time prego and made my first appt with a Dr. I made sure that the Dr. I made my appt was female. When i got into the room I was waiting to meet my new Doctor and in walks this MAN. I litteralty started shaking and asked what happened to the woman, he told me that the Dr I was suppose to see was his wife, and she was busy so he would take over.. my heart rate sky rocketed and I started crying because i didnt want him touching me.. now did i over react , or is it normal to not want to see a male Dr?

Okay, I was supposed to start my period on thursday, it's sunday now and nothing. I had unprotected sex on the 7th and 15th(ovulation) day of my cycle. I took a ept +/- preg test tonight, I couldn't make it out if it was positive or not, it looked like something, a line, was showing up underneath. Then I looked at it an hour later and there was a line (positive). I know they say not to read the test after 10 minutes, but it never did that before. Maybe the next morning it would turn but not that fast...ya know. So what do you think? My missed period, I just got over a cold, heavy breasts, dry wierd taste in mouth, urinating alot, hungry, maybe that's a little too early,and sleepy. Dunno, if anyone can gimme some imput, it would be most appreciated. Thank you. =)

Just the last say or so Ive been getting these really bad headaches. Im 35 weeks pregnant and I was wondering if this was normal. This is my first babd so I dont know if headaches are common in the last trimester or if its something else ot just a normal headache. Its not caused by high blood pressure went to the doctor last thursday and he said my blood pressure was better than anyone hes seen so Im okay there. Thanks for any help!

How far do you have to be dilated before an Epidural is no longer an option? If the pain gets too bad during labor, I want to know approximately how much time I have to change my mind from natural to meds. My first birth, I was in labor for 20 hours and I heard subsequent births are shorter. Is it 6 cm? Thanks!

Ok, I was supposed to start my period on the 25th of this month. Well I'm going to be 7 days late tomorrow. I've been having this pulling sensation in my stomach right behind my bellybutton. I've also been having very mild cramps, not like cramps that I have normally. I know this is way too much info, but when I'm using the bathroom I check up in there with toilet paper to see if I'm going to start but I have barely any blood at all. Some times none. I keep waiting to start but it never does. I tested last thursday but it was negative. Most likely it was also too early. Does anyone have any types of symptoms like that? Oh yeah and I feel like I'm going to throw up sometimes during the day. If someone can help me that would be great!

I had spotting and visited my dr. on thursday and he said it could be possible miscarriage. i had my blood drawn and US done.I dont know the results yet,i have an appointment tomorrow morning. Meanwhile my bleeding has increased and my cramping has increased as well. i have not started bleeding excessively yrt though. But i cramp for 20 minutes as if everything is comming out but i just get a little blood out?.... but i am 90 percernt sure i am going to miscarry by tomorrow or so...but still wants to check if there is some hope. I have a five year old who was begging for the past 2 yrs for a sibling ang and i just told her that i am pregnant 2 week ago. i hate to take that back

I am 36 weeks pregnant and a couple of days ago I started spotting. I went to the doc. and they said everything is okay I am just starting to soften and thin out. However, today I have had very sharp pains down in my pelvic area. Especially when he moves. It feels like I am breaking down there and he's trying to cut himself out..lol. He is moving fine..just really sharp pains and soreness down in my vaginal area. Has anyone experienced this before. I have a doc. appointment in 3 days and I was just wondering till then. I also have been having a ton more of braxton hicks. Thanks for your help.

I am 22 weeks pregnant and having shortness of breath and trouble breathing comfortably. Is it to early to be experiencing this? I go to the doctor in 2 days but was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this, this early?

We dealt with one back in April, now we're 6 weeks in (we were about 5 weeks last time) and he's worried because I'm getting 'into' the idea of being pregnant again.

I think he's worried about how I'll react (it was baaad last time...) if I think about this kiddo this time around. Particularly if something goes wrong.

I have a very good feeling about this. Good (if they can be called that ;P) symptoms, TWO positive HPTs, and a general more positive feeling.

Any of you had this problem before? Having a partner more worried about a possible miscarriage than yourself? And YOU'RE the one carrying? Sheesh!

Last month I messed with my pills and postponed my period for a week. then i had my period and during it had sex. about 2 days after it was over i spotted for 3 consecative days in the late afternoons only. I took a pregnancy test, and it came back negative, but i haven't actually missed a period yet and shouldnt for another 2 weeks if i keep taking my birth control so it seems like it could just be to early to take a test... but the spotting worries me. i have never ever had this before

I'm on my very first month of Birth Control pill (21 Day type)
And i was told that I would get my period on the 22nd day. (today)
Since i have to take birth control pill around the same time everyday, would i expect my period anytime on the 22nd day or around that time of the 22nd day.

Is it normal to have increased vaginal discharge around ur due date?!

I had Sex 3 weeks ago (a day before i started BCP)
we used a condom and everything worked properly.
I am just a little worried.

This is my second one, so I do have a little experience under my belt. I just seem to be extremly exausted all the time. I dont remember being this tired. I cant stay awake. i dont remember this from my first pregnancy. My first doctors appoinment isnt until the fourth so I plan on talking about this with my doctor, but can someone suggest something for me to do or take till then. I cant sleep because I have to watch my daughter. But I cant stand feeling this way. Is my iron low? I had problems with anemia last time. Someone help???
