This is my second one, so I do have a little experience under my belt. I just seem to be extremly exausted all the time. I dont remember being this tired. I cant stay awake. i dont remember this from my first pregnancy. My first doctors appoinment isnt until the fourth so I plan on talking about this with my doctor, but can someone suggest something for me to do or take till then. I cant sleep because I have to watch my daughter. But I cant stand feeling this way. Is my iron low? I had problems with anemia last time. Someone help???

1st congrats! This is my second as well and yes it is hard. Try drinking more fruit juices and water and taking little cat naps during the day ( if possible).. Ifyou do not have prenatal at this time you can purchase some from GNC and Walmart. Being tired is totally exceptable. Take it easy and after the 3rd month easy sailing..

Your iron could definitely be low if you were anemic last time. I would certainly go and see a pharmacist and ask for a good recommendation for an easy to digest form of iron. Your body is working pretty hard right now, developing the placental system. I am always extremely exhausted in early pregnancy. For sure get that supplement, make sure you are taking your prenatal vitamins, beef up on your leafy dark green veggies and try and get some sleep. Good luck to you!

Could be anemic but I too was a lot more tired with my second child. I am a naturally hyper person and I actually had to take naps with my second. I know you can't and I feel bad for you cuz I remember how tired I was my first trimester with my second. Just try and get as much rest as you can and maybe take an iron supplement till you get to the Dr. Congrats

All of your symptoms I have right now with my first pregnancy. My doctor told me that I just have to find some time to sleep whenever I can. I sleep for like 28 hours, and when I wake up, I am still exhausted. I just deal with it.
Also, my iron is not low and there is nothing wrong with me so far.
Prenatal pills did not help my tiredness, but there is a chance I will be having twins. They told me you typically will experience extreme fatigue with more than one.
Congrats!

I felt the same way when I was pregnant with my twins, but not my daughter! Maybe there's two in there! The extra fetus was basically sucking the life right out of me. I'd fall asleep unexpectedly all the time, in the waiting room at the WIC office and in the doctors office! Embarrassing, but unavoidable. Don't take anything unless the doc tells you to. You never know what you could be dealing with.

I am 14 weeks pregnant with my third. I, like you can't sleep the day away, because I have two little girls to watch. The only thing I can really say is tough it out, it goes away at the beginning of your second trimester, At least mine did. Now I have horrible headaches!!
Try eat fruit, such as apples. that seemed to help with me a little.
However, you might have the anemia problem again.
Congratulations, and good luck!!!

It might be anemia.
If you could you should buy some prenatal vits at the store and take them until you go to the dr.
See if that will help, if you iron is low.

i just found out I'm pregnant too.... i feel the same... more tired and exhausted than my first one... my daughter is 20 months so she is very active.....and keep me awake...
when your baby takes a nap... do the same.... having your house a little messy won't kill anyone... so.. don't worry too much about cleaning the house too good.....safe energy
take pre-natal vitamins.... peanut butter... beans..... all kind of food rich in iron... but don't get too much either...just enough to get you on level.....
