Same thing happened to me. My oldest was three and I was on my 2nd pregnancy and I had just told my whole family what was going on. I fell down a hill on my way home from work (I walked because it was two blocks away and good exercise) and the next day I woke up at 4 AM with cold chills and I must have passed out. when I woke again it was 8 AM and I felt like I had a bad period. I was passing some brownish blood and some stringy things which were later determined to be tissue. I was on bedrest for two weeks and when I went back into the dr, he said that there was no hope and that there was nothing more to do. I didn't have to have a d and c or anything, my body cleaned itself. But I had to explain to my 3 year old that the baby died. She was terribly upset. When i got pregnant again when she was 5, woulnd't tell her until I was 4 mos along considering I wasn't really showing until then and I was pretty sure that unless there was a freak accident or something that the baby would make it.Plus it's torture for a kid that small to wait 9 months for a baby to be born. :) Good luck.

sounds like a miscarriage is in the making, but don't get discouraged! sometimes, women cramp and bleed and have a successful pregnancy! be sure to contact your doctor and go to your next visit and don't be afraid to ask questions! Just know that GOD doesn't make any mistakes and everything happens for a reason and prayer does change things! Sorry to hear that you're going through this, but I had a miscarriage last week and a D & C in June!! I know it's going to be hard, but try to stay positive and tell your child that your baby is watching over you all and God will send you another child very soon!!! If you do miscarry, give yourself time to heal and then try again!!! Miscarriage is very common and it doesn't mean you can't have children!! It's just GOD's way of cleaning your body out and preventing a child to suffer from any abnormalities or hardships!! Be patient and of great courage!! Keep your head up and ask your doctor for something for the cramps and get as much rest as you can!

I had bleeding and was 4 weeks along, I thought i was miscarrying and so did the dr until they took the blood work and got results, The ER might be able to do an ultrasound depending on how far you are and see if they can see the heart beating, and do more blood work as well with sooner results than the dr or have some to compare to what the dr has. I will keep you in my prayers and your son as well, I had a friend just go through a tubal and she told her 5 yr old that God needed the baby in heaven more than she did here. Good luck to you and God bless.

Oh this is so sad. It does sound like you are going to have a miscarriage. Although I did bleed through the first 2 months of my last pregnancy and then again at 22 weeks and wound up with a healthy baby. I guess my opinon is that you should wait and see what happens. Try to relax and make sure your body is relaxed. Maybe things will turn and not look so bad.
As far as your little girl... Let her know God had a plan for that baby if he/she doesn't make it. Let her know that God will give her a baby brother or sister when he knows everyone is ready...
Good LUck

I did the same for 6 weeks when I was preg w/ my son I even gushed blood at Walmart every where on the floor, mortifing! One doc even told me to have a D&C (fancy name for abortion when miscarriage has not yet occured) He is a healthy 18 month old!!!! My OB told me the only thing he could recomend was prayer & it worked. Stay off your feet & do not lift any thing heavier than 20 oz, Good Luck!!
