i heard if you have a needle on a string and put the needle at your belly, and if it swings back and forth its a boy, and if it goes in circles it is a girl, does anyone have experience in this?

Hello. I’ve missed too many pills on my birth control & wonder if I am having implantation bleeding or a 2nd period. I was supposed to start my period Sunday August 27th; however I had a GYN appointment on Tuesday & was told to continue taking my pills. Once my appointment was over I began taking my placebos for the rest of the week so I could have my period & prevent a lot of spotting because my boyfriend was coming into town for a week. I had my period & began taking my pills again; I missed a couple/taken some late during my 1st week on the pack & felt some light cramping which I now wonder if it was ovulation. I had unprotected sex from September 9th threw the 16th. On the 12th I started a light period that lasted about 3 days. I don’t want to say it was spotting because I think it was a bit heavier. I have cramping on my left side again. I don’t know if I’m ovulating twice, having a 2nd period or gas. Is it too soon to have bleeding/symptoms associated with pregnancy?

i went to the dr on friday and was 2 cm dialated and 50% effaced...im cramping contracting and natious all the time. is there anything other then walking that can really help me move this along a little bit? i have been walking as much as i can but being 9 mths pregnant in fl when its like 100 degrees outside...walking isnt the most enjoyable all the time....does anyone have any kind of idea what else i can do? and how much longer it might be until he decides he is ready to come out??

I know when your pregnant your hair gets thicker and fuller. But I already had thick and full hair. Now its just gross. Its long and curly and always so knotty it takes so long to brush now. I don't use salon products but I don't use crap product either and my brush is a salon brush. If anyone else has found a product that's good for this let me know. Its also always in a pony tail unless I'm sleeping

I am 19 weeks 1 day pregnant, and about two weeks ago, I would feel little flutters and an occasional thump. Now it's been well over a week now since I have felt anything, and I am concerned. I checked the baby's heartbeat with a doppler I have here at home, and it sounded perfect, so that was reassuring. I have a dr appt and ultrasound (gender one) scheduled in two weeks.

I am very eager to feel the baby move or some kind of movement again!! Should I be worried??

When should I feel my baby move?? What do all you currently pregnant and experienced pregnant people think?

I'm 5 1/2 months pregnant and have really bad heartburn. The doctor told me to try zantac..which I've been on for the past couple of weeks but you're only allowed to take two pills a day and I wake up at night with this and have it all day long...I take tums at night to try to relieve it but that only works temporarily. I dont go back to the doctors for another couple of weeks and I was wondering if anyone else has this problem and what they have found to work really well. I never got heartburn till I was pregnant with my first child...then I had it on and off between pregnancies. I've had it this entire pregnancy but it's getting worse as I'm getting bigger. Any suggestions are appreciated.

i've been on birthcontrol for about two months and so far its worked out very well. two of my oldest cousins recently both had gotton pregnant on the pill.. but they say it was because of the antibotics they were on. i just got put on antibiotics for my throat.. so does that mean the birthcontrol is not effective until im off the antibotics??

I have asked this question before, but I still have no relief. I need help with my sciatica. Terrible pain down my left side and lower back. I can't walk very good. I am 13 weeks pregnant. someone!! help!! (only if u know what you're talking about and have been through or are going through the same-no rudeness) what can i do about this? i feel completely horrible and I don't know what to do about it.. I know I'm not going to feel good because I am 40 weeks in 2 days..but this is just ridiculous.. I tried to lay down and it doesnt work..I tried to take tylenol like my Dr. said if I had headaches to take and they don't work.. I feel so sick and my head aches come and go so fast and I'm having contractions..but they aren't very painful at all and my Dr. said not to go to the hosp unless my water breaks or I am having really painful contractions..I'm not dehydrated..I feel really bad and dont know what I can do to help! I'm really light headed and my whole body is so swollen that when i get up to walk my toes don't even touch the floor.. I haven't been eating salt or sittin in the same spot because they said it caused swelling so I don't know why it's happening to me.advice?

I like the name Jaydon Garrick for a boy. My hubby doesn't like it because he says that it sounds like a name for a homosexual. He wants to name the baby Sherlock or Dartangan (like from the 3 Musketeers). I think those names are absolutely ridiculous. The only thing we agree on is the name for a girl. It is going to be Erienne Alaina. What do you think?
