I would call the doctor. Full term pregnancy is uncomfortable...but you sound miserable which isn't right. Maybe they can suggest an additional medicine to help comfort you and at least allow you to sleep better.
Hang in there hun!

You need to seek medical attention if your body is swollen. It could be toxemia (toxemia causes very bad swelling) and from what you have said thats what it sounds like. My sister just had this and she was in the hospital for over a week because it was let go too long. Her blood pressure was sky high and she was so sick. She had to deliver her babys right away because if was dangerous for the babys. SHe had twins. Good Luck
Go in and insist they test you. The hospital can not refuse you.

I know I am one of those who doesn't know how you feel becuase I haven't had a baby, but my mom almost died when she had me due to Pre-eclampsia. I was her 3rd child and she was told not to have another baby after my older sister was born because it happened with her first 2 pregnancies as well. She defied what the doctor said, got pregnant with me (thankfuly) and when I was born it was the most severe and she was moments away from death. I would go back to your doctor, you can never be too carefull when it comes to the life of you and your little one. Hope you get feeling better and have a healthy delivery. God Bless!

Hmmmm maybe you are getting the flu or something.
Try sitting with your feet in some cold water. That should help sink some swelling temporarily. Also sit with your feet up whenever you can.
Try drinking so Ginger Ale while sitting in a dark quiet room. Ginger Ale doesn't have any caffeine in it.
Just remember in a few days things will start getting back to normal.
**** LUCK

I was sick every day for 7 months with my first child. I can sympathiase with you totally. Im my second pregnancy i was given an "old wives tale" remedy of sucking on a piece of raw ginger for 10 minutes the very moment you wake up... I know its weird/unpleasant/mad, but hey when in you situation...trying anything is better than nothing. Good luck!

CALM DOWN! take some time to chill and relax its best for the baby. drink a glass off cold water and try to bring your stress level down. i got very bad headaches when i was prego also. i use to tie a tight bandanna around my head (my mom said to try it) it would work! and eat something light. you may have low blood sugar and that can make you feel very funny and give you a headache. but if you dont get any better and your still very worried then call your doctor or nurse on call..its always best to be safe.

It could be pre-eclamsia! If you're swollen and you have headaches that won't go away. Is he checking your blood pressure? Has he mentioned this? I was very swollen but never had the headaches and my doctor was so concerned that he would have put me on disability if I had been working. I think either you should call him or go to the ER. It could be very serious! Don't delay!

Honey, forget what the doctor said.
If you are swollen, I think that you should at least phone you maternity department to let them know of your symptoms. I haven't experienced it myself, but I think I remember my midwife telling me to phone the maternity ward if I was experiencing swelling.
I hope that everything is okay for you and your baby :)
