I like the name Jaydon Garrick for a boy. My hubby doesn't like it because he says that it sounds like a name for a homosexual. He wants to name the baby Sherlock or Dartangan (like from the 3 Musketeers). I think those names are absolutely ridiculous. The only thing we agree on is the name for a girl. It is going to be Erienne Alaina. What do you think?

I love Sherlock!, I think it is a very cool name, have you ever read the story of Sherlock Holmes?, it is exciting!, I am sure people with some culture would find that name interesting. I dislike Jaydon Garrick, it sounds weak, you need to try to agree on a name that sounds strong for a boy. I read somewhere people become their name so be careful just in case. From the musketeers names I prefer Athos it sounds strong and masculine but a car was named that way!. Alaina is a good name, special, unusual and not so complicated it sounds sexy but lose the Erienne, ewwww.

I like Garrick but I'm not too hip on Jaydon. What about...
Ethan Garrick
Jared Garrick

I have to agree with you on the name syour huisband picked out! Those are kinda silly. Maybe just use your husbands name as the baby's middle name.

I have to agree, I like the name Jaydon Garrick but oh my gosh...what is your husband thinking?? Sherlock??? Dartangan - would he be nicknamed Dart?
Jay sounds better than Lockor Dart and I like the girls name.
Looked up meanings for you, maybe this will help you get him to come around:
SHERLOCK
Gender: Masculine
Usage: English
Pronounced: SHUR-lahk [key]
Possibly derived from a Middle English nickname meaning "shear lock", referring to people with closely cut hair. Sherlock Holmes is the name of the detective in the mystery stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

NO NAME DATABASE FOR DARTANGAN

JAYDON - JAYDON
Gender: Masculine
Usage: English (Modern)
Pronounced: JAY-dun [key]
Variant of JADON
JADON
Gender: Masculine

Usage: Biblical

Other Scripts: יָדוֹן (Hebrew)

Pronounced: JAY-dun [key]

Means "thankful" in Hebrew. This name is borne by a minor character in the Old Testament

I quite like the name jaydon, but you have to compromise on the name. I have 3 children and they are all boys, i got to choose the girls names and he got to choose the boys but for my last baby who is 8 months old, i chose his name and i called him harley. If not put the names that you really like in a hat and get him to pick one out that way u both get a say in what u call the baby.

Jaydon is an awesome name.. I have to remember that.. when that day comes for me !

Honestly? Sherlock? Dartangan? No..Sorry..not for this day and time if you ask me..

Also..A name is not going to make your son 'gay'.. If I had to pick out of the 3 names??
Yours gets my vote hands down :)

Also! Congrats :)
