Why don't you start by phoning NHS Direct? Explain about your stomach pains and they will reassure you as to staying at home or going to the hospital to have it checked out. Don't be scared about how you feel, talking will help, you are bound to feel low cos it all went so horrible and should have been nice. You know if you talk about it you might not need the tablets. I was given a/d's and didn't take them cos I felt so ill and "wired" all the time and counselling helped me, although my circumstances are not the same, my children are disabled. I promise you if you talk to someone, anyone you will feel better, just get it all out.
Good luck

Don't be scared, it is you GP's job to look after you and if he won't do that then find another. There could be many reasons for the pain in your stomach mostly not serious but only a Doctor can tell you what is going wrong. You also need to make it clear that the antidepressant is making you sick as if you are vomiting up the tablets then they will not work. Good luck!

It could just be your uterus contracting to get back to it's normal size. But the medication you are taking could be doing some serious damage to your insides. Based on the information you wrote, it sounds like you could also be suffering from post-partum depression, which is a condition some women suffer from after they give birth. Has something to do with hormonal imbalance. You need to talk to your OB/GYN. They should understand what is happening with you and maybe able to adjust your medication so that you won't experience those severe pains. Also, talking with your priest or minister if you trust their advice could help you deal with some of the emotional imbalance you are experiencing. Some insurance companies have help lines you can call for these types of problems. Check around to see what resources are available and use them. Do some research to look for suggestions of ways to deal with depression. I know you said you don't want counseling but sometimes talking with somebody does help. Best of luck

Sounds like you might have an infection and from the above mentioned information you have not had medical treatment. You could have a placenta still in place. If you didn't deliever in the hospital my next question would have to be where and what was done with the infant. But infection is a huge thing. As to it may make you sterile or end your life. Get treatment ASAP no matter what.

Go to the hospital they can't tell anyone anything that you don't want them to know. If you tell them not to tell your gp they can't patient / dr. privilege. Go before something happens to you. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your baby. Did you have it in the hospital or at home? what did you do with it? I know that sounds like a awful questionn but you had a lot of people really concerned last night by the questio you asked. Go to the Hospital!!

You really should go the emergency room or at least check with the on call nurse. After I had my son the same thing happened when i finally got the emergency room i could hardly even walk, come to find out I had a uteral infection, a kidney infection and a uti very serious right after delivery.

Go to the doctors if your feeling depressed and get that sorted out first definately, the pains might be your womb shrinking back to its normal size, but its very advisable you see your gp as it needs to be checked out. The doctor can find a suitable antidepressant for you that wont make you sick. take care and look after yourself as you new baby needs you. ps you can always speak to your health visitor they are very good and understanding. wish you well

speak to your health visitor, she will be able to help you. Don't worry about telling her the antidepressants make you feel sick, she should be able to help you speak to your GP and work with you to find a solution.
As for the pain in your stomach, it could be a number of things; constipation, infection, after pains from the delivery.....etc.
Bottom line is, get medical help in some form, be healthy.

Pain after pregnancy is probably where your body is still contracting, this will go away shortly,if you are depressed you should take your medication for your babies sake. Speak to your doctor as you can get something for the nausea.
Good luck.
Ignore charlotterobo, You cant help feeling like this and its good to talk.
