Sweetie - you need to go to the doctor like right now. This sounds like you have something seriously wrong.

My hands and feet were super swollen from about 8 months or so. I had to buy new shoes and wear a wrist guard do to pregnancy induced carpal tunnel syndrome but my doctor was never concerned about it and told me to elevate my feet and legs however i would suggest that if the swelling is that bad and includes your face and other parts of your body to see your doctor ASAP as this can be very dangerous for both you and your baby. Good luck.

Going to see a doctor would be a VERY good idea. eclampsia is VERY serious and you need to go see someone ASAP. Also other signs are blurry eyesight or "seeing spots", headaches, swelling of the face, high blood pressure. Yes you need to go see a doctor today if you can. If you cant you need to RELAX and try and drinking some water but the doctors would be your best bet.
Good Luck

Yes, swelling does affect your face. Contact your doctor to see if everything is ok. I looked just awful right before I had my baby. Be ready to look that way right after you have your baby too. I got a lot of IV fluids, which made my whole body look more swollen. It went down after a few days - don't be suprised if you sweat a lot, your body wants to get rid of the extra fluid after having a baby. Good luck!

Have you called your doctor about this? I would be concerned once the swelling went past my hands and feet. Check with your doctor, you may need to go in for some tests.

My mom and sister-in-law both had preclampsia, and my mom was swollen everywhere during her pregnancy while my sister-in-law only swelled in the face during the delivery and stayed swollen for a few days after.

mum had this too during her pregnancy...difficult to cope with...she went to see a doctor, but what helped her was Aloe Vera..if you have this plant in your country,u can try,,slide the leafs n apply the gel(not on your lips)..either this will have a good effect or no effect at all,so dont worry about side effects.ok? rily hope that i`ve been a bit helpful to you dear.

This could be a normal thing- but why take the chance?
Get into the ER and get checked.
In my three pregnancies, I never swelled in a way you describe.
Please get in and take good care of you and your baby.
I'll be thinking of you---

You should call your doctor. You may have had an allergic reaction to something.
