Pregnancy - August 2006

When you go to the Doctor because you think you might be pregnant. Please tell mein detail. I have an appt. tonight and I believe that I may be pregnant, because I missed my period and am starting to feel some pregnancy symptoms. This is my third missed period. Thank You!! This is my first child. I also have noticed that I am gaining a few pounds. About 5lbs.

I have a 3 year and have been teaching him to shoot a pistol. Some people at the gun range tell me he is too young.

We live in a bad area and if she is alone and someone breaks in I want her to be able to protect herself.

Kind of hard to explain but it feels like the baby's body is pushing up towards my ribcage.... making the whole top part of my uterus feel from the outside that it might be contractions(It tenses up for a while then releases). It has been doing it on and off since late last night...
and if its not contractions, do you have any idea why my baby is acting this way(meaning why she is pushing so intensely like that)?
I doesn't hurt though, i can just feel it.

I am almost 36 weeks pregnant and she has been head down since 32 weeks. The last time my doctor did a manual exam he said she was really low in my pelvis.....was that his way of telling me that the baby had dropped.
I have been having so much back pain lately and I can't sleep at night. I do think that I look different and so do my co-workers.
This is my 2nd pregnancy and I don't remember this happening with my first?!

Please help.....

had my tubes tied 3 years ago. Is it possible for me to still have a child to a surrogant mother? My sis n law said if I wanted another she'd carry it? with my tubes done is that possible to do?
I didnt want to get them done, but wiht complications it was all I could do!

I have been going to bikram yoga since 2 months for now.
Now I am 5 weeks pregnant, Can I still continue Bikram yoga in that hot temperature going out of the room as required or should I be doing the same yoga exercises in house in room temperature.
At what stage it is good to start Yoga during pregnancy.
I was not able to get correct information on this.
Did any one do Bikram Yoga durign their first trimester and what are your experiences.

it makes it all uncomfortable until you know.. sometimes its just stress and hormones off balance.. then it turns out your not and 2 tings happen .. dissappointmeny or betrayal becasue they feel lied to.. what is the concinses on this..

I have always heard that if u and ur spouse have the same blood type that having a baby might be hard, then i read if they are different it can be bad for the pregnancy.....my husband is A positive and i just found out im O negative...is there any problems if we try to have a baby? does anyone know from experience? im scared we wont be able to have children because of this

I am shopping for crib bedding sets and I don't want to spend a bunch of money on one if they won't be in the crib for that long. I have a bassinet already and she will be sleeping upstairs in that for a few months till I let her sleep in the crib. So when do I let her sleep in a toddler bed?

I have a strange question. I am 4 months pregnant, never had the greatest sex drive to begin with, but now that I am pregnant, I don't have one hardly at all. I love my husband, and I love affection and I love sex! Now my poor husband is telling me he misses me touching him, and giving him affection, and sex. In my head I WANT to do these things....and I try to tell him, i really want to. but he gets bummed out....BEFORE you all start saying he shouldnt be this way, he should understand im pregnant and so on....please realize that he is NOT pressuring me, and it is NOT causing any problems, I can just see that he misses our intimacy, as do I...and I want to know when that will come back. people say in your second trimester..I am 4 months, and no change yet. I want to tell him of the possiblity before he leaves. But if I am wrong and it isn't what it seems he may see it all as a trap to keep him with me. That isn't the case at all i want the best for him. I have a life here with my children already but i don't want to have to tell him later and then he think I kept it from him on purpose... God.. I am to old for this.. please offer soem advice besides take a test because.. its still to early for all that and he leaves Friday...

My husband and I split in my 4th month. He is still involved with my preganacy and wants to be my coach. But, I just don't feel comfortable with him anymore. I don't want to be even more tense in the labor room than I have to be. I won't be able to relax if he is the one taking care of me because, there is just too much resentment there. So, my delima is I have no one else. I have been thinking about not have a coach at all. Has anyone out there ever done that before?

What's labor (all together) like? My doctor says that she doesn't think I am going to have enough room to carry my daughter the full 40 weeks? What's it like to have a premature baby and the labor? I'm sure that it's scray with a baby being that small... I just want to be prepared!

I am pregnant and want to wait as long as I can before I have to go to the doctor. My mom works for the doctor (typing the medical dictations) and I want to be able to tell her myself, rather than her finding out through work. I was hoping to be able to wait until I was out of my first trimester to tell people. So, my question is when do I need to go so that my baby is getting adequate health care.

or a local. I just lost a baby at 21 weeks on the 11th and we are goingto wait 6 months before trying again, and I forgot to ask my OB/GYN when I went in for my 2 week checkup. I keep hearing that general is not safe during pregnancy.
