Yeah, as a guy, I wouldn't want to be involved in the stress unless there is significant cause for concern, like being more than a couple weeks late. But don't tell him "you might pregnant", just tell him you're late. It sets a different tone.

I think it depends somewhat on the guy and the relationship. If you think it's going to make things "all uncomfortable" then wait until you know for sure. If the relationship is new or casual, wait until you know for sure. If you're soulmates and an unplanned pregnancy is merely bumping the inevitable up by a few years, then you should know whether he can handle the stress of uncertainty with you. If you just need someone for that, that's what best girlfriends are for.

If you know for sure, tell him - of course by all means.
If you think you are - just raise a doubt in his mind too and see how he reacts. That tells you how he will react if you find out at a later date that you really are pregnant
If he is a decent guy, he will accept you regarless.
If he is selfish, he will drop you. You must be glad in this case because you don't want to be around such a person for life anyway.

Take the test first & put your own mind at ease. Hopefully you'll be able to communicate with this man with ease and be in a comfortable, long-term, committed relationship by the time you do get pregnant. And hopefully this is also a decision that you both decide to do together.
However, if you are pregnant then you need to sit him down and both of you get to talking, sharing, and planning very quickly.

I think it's ALWAYS fair to tell! I also think you need to be fully honest about your birth control. like do you take pills? do you ever miss pills? exc..so you can minimize the chance of a unplanned pregnancy. If neither are using protection they gotta know pregnancy can happen, so it should not be shock if you did not try to prevent it. If all else fails you find your self pregnant you should not tell the bf until a + test. UNLESS you are very committed, married, more then dating, then i think it would be okay to tell them before you test you think you are. It's a personal choice thou.

Well the easiest thing to do is wait until you have had the blood test to prove that you are ...or not. Then if you ARE pregnant...you had better tell him, so you can decide what needs to be done.... and p.s. if you've had this scare and come up not pregnant--my suggestion would be to use birth control on both sides.....or keep your legs closed.....

You are one top shelf majorly stupid female.
It is women like you that REALLY scare and tick off REALLY NICE guys.
You do not tell someone that until you ARE SURE. It is called a pregnancy test. You take it and you get an answer.
YOU DO NOT just throw out there you think you might be pregnant.
IDIOT. I would use a number of expletives but they would be replaced by an asterisk.

Of course it is. If you are in a sexual relationship then I would hope that he has accepted that there maybe a baby involved even with precautions. Waiting until you are sure is not a bad idea.

These days you can do a pregnancy test days after you should have started a period. Take a test, and if you are pregnant then tell him.

why would you tell someone that you are pregnant unless you are CERTAIN that what you are telling him is true? you need to find out for a FACT that you ARE pregnant before you open your mouth!
