hunii... ur best bet would be to go now. to be honest with you, you gotta think about that baby first before nething else. and u cant worry about ur mom or ur dad or ur great uncle bob. you know? the most important thing is taking urself to the doctor. getting an official pregnancy test and being tested for diseases that could effect the baby. anywhere from std's all the way to hypo thyroidism and other stuff like that. because if you dont and you have low amounts of ceertain things in ur body u could hurt urself and the baby. dont worry about who knows. u should be more excited at the fact that u are and want to tell everyone else. also if u wait until the 2 trimester to go to the doctor, u might not even have a chance to see a doctor if u dont take care of that baby because the risk of miscarriage is the highest during ur first trimester. but i would suggest not waiting much longer. but congratulations darlin and good luck.

Besides taking a medical history and telling you things you can and cant eat (which you can find in any pregnancy books) in the first few months there is really not much they do for you. I dont think they even listened for a heart beat till around 12 weeks. Also dont panic about "prenatal vitamins". They made me sick during my first pregnancy so the dr. told me that a childrens vitamin (I took Flinstones Complete) was just fine. So long as it has 400 mcg of folic acid. Also just try to eat healthy. If you start to feel that something is not quite right, you may have to bite the bullet and go sooner than you would like to.

It's usually best to make an appointment immediately so that you will know that everything is OK. It often takes a little while to get in at first anyway. Tell your mom before you go, so she doesn't find out while doing the data entry on your chart. Good luck.

You need to go to the doctors as soon as you find out your are pregnant so you and your baby can get the adequate help you both need and you also need to get some prenatal pills.

Most doctors don't see women until around 12 weeks. All three of my babies have been that way. Unless you are a high risk pregnancy, of course. Don't wait any longer thanthat, though. You need to get on a prenatal vitamin, etc. that only a doctor can provide.

It is very important to go now. When I got pregnant, I made an appointment for my OB/GYN the very next week. There are blood tests that will be done to check for certain things, so prenatal care is best started as soon as you find out you're pregnant.
Also, if you haven't already, go out and buy yourself prenatal vitamins now and start taking it.
Also, there are tests that must be done during specific times in your pregnancy - for example, the alphaprotein test to test for down syndrome is done around the 20 week period.

When I was pregnant I call the doctor and I didn't go in until I was at least 3 months or12 weeks pregnant and by that time I was already ending my 1st trimester....All doctors are different...Just call your doctor and find out when you need to get in there.

you can wait to tell people... but still go to the doctors... the sooner you get started on your prenatal vitamins and they can start running the tests the better off you are... if you are worried about your mom finding out maybe have a talk with your doctor about privacy and ask if he can make sure she doesnt find out until you are ready... or start at another doctor and have your medical records transfered over when you are ready to tell you mom

Women usually make an appointment to the doctor as soon as they find out they are pregnant. I was about one month pregnant when I first saw the doctor.
