Just out of interested when did you find out you were expecting? And did you have any negative tests first? Cheers!

Well I'm 34 and have been trying for a baby - unsuccessfully - for several years. My BF (who's 11 years younger than me!) and I had been told we'd need IVF treatment, which we couldn't afford.

This March I took a couple of weeks off work with severe stress (awful job getting me down) and started having "spiritual healing" to help me get over my stress levels. I have no idea if it helped, but I am tempted to think it did, because I got pregnant that month!

I knew something was up a couple of weeks before my period was due, because I felt weird. I had period cramps, way too early for it to be my period, my boobs were sore and I kept getting really nasty stomach pains, like I'd eaten something bad. I also felt pretty nauseous at night.

My cycles are always about 26 days long and when I started spotting on day 26 I just assumed I'd been wrong and it was my period (I was gutted, actually!). But the spotting stopped the next day, but all the funny symptoms - sore boobs, period pains, queasy feelings, remained. So under my Mother in Law's advice I did a test (have done 100s of the damn things over the years all negative) and to my amazement (and my BF's!!) it was positive. Total shock! I'd pretty much given up hope and so had most of my family!!!

Now 25 weeks and 3 days pregnant with what we've been told is lovely little boy! He's due on 8 December.

Now I just have to get over my fear of giving birth! I've gotta admit, I'm terrified!!!

I was about 7 wks when I found out I was pregnant. I had done 2 tests at my work, both of which were negative, but I felt pregnant,if you know what I mean. About a week later I did another test and this time it was positive! Yippee! If you test too early then often the test will be negative, so if this is happening to you, then either try an early tester or just hang on a short while longer, but look after yourself as if you are expecting, folic acid tablets and a healthy diet.

Good luck!!!

With my first child, I had 4 or so negative tests.. I had the feeling that something was off, but kept testing and kept getting negatives. Finally at 3 months of no periods, I had a blood test that confirmed it.

With my other 3 children , I knew I was pregnant before I was even able to take a test. When I finally missed my period and took the tests, they were positive. I was only a few weeks along when I knew for certain. Makes for a very LONG pregnancy, though. lol

I was 8 weeks late and had a pregnancy test at the County Health Department. No negative tests. I had adopted a daughter 5 years earlier due to my inability to get pregnant. Miracles do happen. 22 years after giving birth for the first and only time, I have the two best and most beautiful daughters in the world.

No, negative test! Found out i was pregnant when I was a senior in high school. About a month into my senior year. I took a test at my job when I was on my break. My best friend was my boss, she kept saying I bet you are pregnant, b/c i was really sick to the belly. She told me to run up to the CVS and buy a pregnancy test and take the test on my break. Sure enough she was right. when i went to my first appt they said i was 8 weeks. Now my little munch is 6 yrs old and headed off to 1st grade today. They grow up SOOOOOOOOOOO fast! With my second pregnancy my hubby and i were TTC and i took a test the day my period was suppose to be due and I found out. i was only 4 weeks then. She is now 21 months old and we are currently TTC our third and final!

I had 2 negative tests first. I was only married a month, and my husband thought I was a kook, but I knew I had never felt like that before. I took the third test in the morning before work, and he was laying in the bed thinking I was insane. He was in total shock when I showed him the positive test. I think I was testing too early for the first 2.

Yes I had 3 negative tests, I was getting worried, thought I was starting the menopause early or somthing. I bought another test and it was positive. When pregnant with both my children I found that the predictor test was rubbish, clear blue was the best.

my husband and i were married december 21st. i took the test on january 10th. we were at my apartment moving all my stuff south (where we live now) and i had a feeling, but was in MAJOR denial.
anyway....no false tests for us. everyone of those suckers was positive....even though I wasn't so positive:)
i was in such denial that i went out and bought one of those digital reading tests so it would state clearly "pregnant" "not pregnant". yeah...it said "pregnant" in about 2 seconds!!!! there was none of that anxious waiting....so, i guess that was a bonus.

we are very excited, now, however, the shock was what really got us. we would have liked it to be a little more planned, but i'm due in about 2 weeks and we can't wait for the little guy!!!

darn birth control:) HA!

When I was 8 weeks along. I was being prepped for exploritory surgery (cause I was constantly throwing up) and they gave me a PG test because of a certain dye used in the surgery that might cause birth defects. Found out on the surgery table (before the procedure). No surgery was needed!!! My little girl is now 6!!
