Yes. Just say what you suspect & the doctor will take it from there. Good luck!

It's been a while, but it should pretty much start out like a regular checkup -- change into the funny gown, check your pulse and blood pressure, all that. Then you'll have to pee into a cup so that they can perform a pregnancy test (you may want to take a home test if you're worried about being pregnant). If it turns out positive, they'll talk to you about needing to set up a schedule of regular visits to monitor your (and the baby's) health during the pregnancy; they'll give you a bunch of pamphlets about the do's and don'ts of diet, exercise, and all that jazz.
If you do turn out to be pregnant, congratulations! (That's if you're deciding to keep it, I guess....) I'd recommend stopping by your local book store and picking up a copy of "What to Expect When You're Expecting" -- it's an absolute GOLDMINE of information for first-time parents. But make sure you and your partner read it together; looking at one of those books and hearing the horror stories of the one-in-a-million chance things that CAN go wrong can be pretty scary if you don't have someone else with you to help put things in perspective. Oh, and while you're at it, you may also want to pick up "What to Expect During the First Year" -- it's NEVER too soon to start learning and preparing!

First...if you just THINK your pregnant. They will take blood....run it threw the lab...in less than two hours you will know for sure. After that they will set up an actually doctors visit..your First Prenatal Visit. Which at that one...they will ask you a lot of medical question...about yoru history...family history...babys fathers family history. They will take your weight, your height. Blood pressure, urine sample(all will be done every time you go to the doctor during pregnancy) The first visit...they will do a pap test....Check for breast cancer. Also i believe you get the Option to have a Hepatitus B, HIV...i think thats it. You get books and other papers about pregnancy.

They will give you a pregnancy test (urine usually). If it is positive, they will get your history and all your paper work, or they will set you up for another appt. to do all that. It is nothing scary. It is probably the easiest part pregnancy. HA HA!!

First they will do a pregnancy test and then a pap test. If you are 3 months(since you had a period) they are likely to do more testing.

when i went... the doc goes over your history... makes you pee in a cup and with in minutes lets you know if you are or arent... i went after i did a home preg test just to make sure... then they talk about your options with you... if you are then your best bet will be starting on your prenatal vitamins (i took flinstones the others made me sick... as long as they have 400mg of folic acid your ok) and youll be on your way for a fun pregnancy!!!

Generally they will do a urine/blood test to make sure you are pregnant. They will most likely do a pelvic exam and if you are pregnant they will write you a prescription for prenatal vitamins.
