Pregnancy - August 2006

i had my 35 wk check-up yesterday and she checked my cervix. i didn't think anything of it until afterwards i started spotting and getting cramping in my right lower abdomen.
of course i started getting a little anxious b/c i've had this really great pregnancy without any thing happening, not even a little scramping or spotting.
anyway, i looked it up in my books and talked to dr office today and everything is most likely fine.

i think that doctor should have kept her hands to herself yesterday!
so, i'm curious...
how far along were you when your OB starting checking your cervix??

i was only 35 wks...i think that is just too early and i won't let them check again until 38 wks....

just looking for a consensus! thanks everyone!

Most people & books say sore breasts may be a sign that you are pregnant.

Question 1-Did you have sore breast prior to finding out you were pregnant?

Now...my 2nd question is if you did or did not have sore breast prior to finding out you were pregnant...Did you have sore breast during any other time, like as a PMS symptom?

I am six weeks pregnant and i finally told my boyfriend. He had a mixed reaction to it. we got into a argument recently and he said he felt like i was trying to trap him...i didn't knock myself up...so anyways after i told him he didn't have to be there if he didn't want to.I was so damn serious about it because i was always raised momma's baby papa's maybe...which means you gonna always have a mother not always have the father. anyways he was pissed that i said that but i don't see why. was i wrong to say that to him?

When did you have your first ultrasound? My OB wants to do one at 11 weeks. Isn't that too early to really see anything? We pay everything out of pocket so i'm just wondering if this is necessary. Do you know when most OB's do first ultrasounds?

my boyfriend is trying not to belive that am pergnant, is it cuz he's scared ???? he said the reason why we feel sick is because we just are , and not because am pergnant , but i already took the test , does any one know why hes acting like this???

I have shooting pains in my breasts and sometimes have a sharp pain in my lower right side which lasts a few minutes, is this normal? Ive gained 14 pounds so far, I was 112 pounds before. How much weight is normal to gain? Also Im a chef so I work long hours in a HOT busy kitchen, is my job suitable for pregnancy. I cant really talk to anyone at work because they're all male chefs and I don't think they'll understand.

i think i am pregnant but i will find out in a few days but my one ovary kinda hurts a little on and off.my beast have been hurting for two weeks and they are a little swollen.i have been so tired all the time.i'm really moody......i am just wondering if when your pregnant will one of your ovaries hurt or just feel different...i never have had this before....does it sound like i could be pregnant???

I would really like to go into labor soon because my dr plans on inducing me on Monday. I know you can lose your mucus plug and still be pregnant for a couple weeks but I was wondering since i'm already past my accurate due date (several ultrasounds confirmed as well as hcg levels) that maybe the loss of the plug would mean imminent labor....anybody else with a similar experience? *Hoping*

I have a question for you ladies... I'm on this birth control Cyclessa, and i've been on it for 3 or 4 months now. Anyways, Wednesday the 2nd I took my BC pill at 9:30pm. Thursday morning at 2am my husband and I had unprotected sex and he ejaculated inside of me. Thursday evening I took my BC Pill. But here is the fun part, I went away friday morning , and by accident left my BC pills at home! So, I didn't take the pill friday, saturday, or sunday etc. I was wondering what anyone thought my chances of being pregnant are? I know sperm can survive in your body for up to 72 hours and of those 72 hours that his sperm was inside of me---48 hours of that time I did NOT take my birthcontrol. Also, I started spotting on Monday the 7th of august and tuesday when I got home from my vacation my husband and I had unprotected sex again, but this time he did NOT ejaculate inside of me--we actually stopped the intercourse 2 or 3 minutes through it to get a shower. I was told that even though he did not ejaculate inside of me, that pre-ejaculation can occur even the slightest bit, and since I haven't been on birth control since Thursday night the 3rd---I wanted to know if that could also get me pregnant now--??SORRY this is soo long, just so many questions. Thx to anyone who replies.

how long does it take for the hcg hormone to be in your urine. my doc said it might be too early and i still have to wait another month before going and testing again. i already missed my period for july. if i am pregnant shouldnt it be in my urine already? oh yeh, my period for june was only 1 day......
