I have no idea why babies are miracles. And yes, I have three. They are wonderful and I love them dearly but I always thought that conception had more to do with biology. I've noticed no one ever says cockroaches or rats reproducing is a miracle.

El Jefe! El Jefe! Don’t embarrass me. You are not as ignorant as you sound. You are indeed a miracle yourself. Who would have thought you would grow to be as bright as you are. A million people of your age can’t read or right. Don’t you find it a miracle that you can?
Now, let me explain it to you very simply… I promise you by the time I finish you will understand why babies are considered a miracle. First, why do we say when Jesus walked on sea is a miracle? Though we know for Him everything is possible? Why? Because it’s a miracle. Can you comprehend that?
I have a 14 month baby girl. But before her, I lost two kids. It’s not the fact that the doctors thought that we were not ever going to have a baby that makes her a miracle. But the way babies come to be. I trust you have done biology and you know the whole story. How could that be, that whole reality you are talking about? It can only be explained as a miracle. From the sperm and ovary, then 9 months later you are holding a miracle in your hands…
There must be something wrong with anyone who doesn’t see that as a miracle. Anyway, you obviously don’t have any children or you are too young to understand, otherwise you would know its a miracle of a lifetime.
In another two months, I will have another miracle in my hands. I can’t wait for that day to come.
Sorry if I sound rude, but I just can’t see how you don’t find babies to be a miracle. Anyway, wait until you have your own. You might change your mind.

If you realized how hard it is to actually conceive and carry thorough to term (a successful pregnancy) without complications you'd understand. Women only have a 20% chance each cycle to conceive to begin with. That percentage decreases rapidly with age, physical health, partner's fertility, drugs, drinking, etc.
Many women conceive but are sadly unable to carry to full term. Sometimes at 8 weeks during the first ultrasound the doctor will discover the fetus has no heartbeat and this can be devastating for someone who had to wait 6 to 8 weeks to be seen by their Ob/Gyn because most practitioners will not see women before 8w.
Pregnancy isn't really considered "safe" until 12 w (3 Months) because so many things can cause miscarriage. Even after 3 months there's no guarantee the pregnancy will go to full term without complications.
Also, for people who are trying to conceive.....they really want a baby and most of the time are financially able and healthy and can raise a family with a lot of love.....but have very hard times conceiving and carrying to term. When they see all the crack addicts out there, the people who drown their kids/kill their kids, and the people who molest or abuse their kids.....makes them wonder sometimes if there is a higher being that's just blind.
When you have a child of your own, if you're responsible and fully involved in the child's life, you will see the little things they do everyday as they grow...the speed at which they learn, the things that make them happy, how innocent they are when they ask questions....they really are miracles. They bring so much joy and make people realize how fragile and yet resilient life can be. They make people realize what love really is. Love isn't always instant, but once you've bonded it's so hard to separate a parent from their child when they love them so much.
Children are our future. What we do they watch and learn. If we want a good future, we need to teach them right. If we're careless we'll end up teaching all that to them.

Considering the ALL factors it takes to create a baby and carry it to term.
Or how about this one...2 years ago Doctors told me there was no chance I would ever become pregnant. I was menopausal @ 34. I tried for 14 years, with 2 years fertility treatments, 2 husbands later (they wanted children of their own and didn't want to adopt or pay for surrogate) I gave up hope and started making other plans, travel, college, being on my own again, etc...I'm now 36 years old and13 weeks along. Miracle? I think so.

what does the word miracle mean to you?
Anything that only God can do and is impossible with mean is a miracle.
An egg and a sperm developing to life is really a miracle.
So stop asking stupid questions and appreciate what God is doing...

I think it's a miracle that two people would get together and choose to create a new life. My Dad said that if logic had anything to do with it, no one would have kids because it's so hard, and requires you to be so unselfish. Anything that can make people go against their nature and acutally be giving and unselfish has to be a miracle.
