I was at a waterpark and saw a sign for no pregnant women to go down the slides...but ive seen those signs everywhere on rides like rollercoasters. Why cant they go on them? What happens to the baby?

I was about 4-5 weeks pregnant when I was smoking cigarettes. But I never knew I was pregnant until I was about 7-8 weeks preg but I already stopped smoking around my 6th week. Did I harm my baby in any way? I don't smoke anymore.

My husband has decided that if I have a BOY he wants to name the baby after him! The problem is I HATE his name, and I DO NOT want a son named the same thing: Terry Lamar....ewwweww.

What do I do? He has said that I "have no choice" and that if it is a girl I can have free will to name the child whatever I want. But I just do not think that is Fair!

I am the one carrying the baby, and will be the one SUFFERING through labor--I think I should have some say so in the naming of my child, whether it is a boy or a girl.

What advice can you give me?
Everytime we dicuss the issue, he gets upset, how can I convince him to help me think of a new, creative name--?

i found out im pregnant and told ma boifriend and he's not that happy about it and since we're under 18 we need an adult 2 take us 2 get an abortion and we're not trynna do that because we dont kno who we could get 2 take us so he wants 2 make me have a miscarriage by squirting salt water in me cause he heard that it works but i wanna keep my child so what should i do?????? please help me

I know that labor pains worsen and change as labor progresses, but what do the first few contractions feel like? barable? crampy? will I even notice? how can you tell if it's the real thing????

I am 7wks pregnant and this was not a planned pregnancy(my partner and I are extremly happy and excited). I want to do what I can to make sure I have all the big items, or "can't live without" items, like strollers, etc. and I want to start getting them after my 13th week so I don' t have to get all at once so my long winded question is this what were you glad to have and couldn't have done without?

In late June I was given another form of antibiotic.My next appt. to recieve depo shot is in September.From the first day i went to the doctor and got 1st prescription all the way to today I have been heving unprotected sex with my husband.I didn't know that antibiotics cancels out birth control.I bleed up until like July 15 straight from the day i got the shot. Now here in August my period should have came around the 7,8,9 it has not come and I don't feel weird like it is coming. Anyone has any advice about what might be happening to me? Culd I be pregnant based on the story as i explained it?

weeks along so I assumed my period would come by now. The thing is, I bled for a week, stopped for a week, bled for a week, stopped for a week, same same same, and am now having brownish discharge again but no real red blood. I have been actively having intercourse with my husband unprotected. Could I have ovulated and be pregnant, or am I still discharging from the miscarriage? 2HPT's have come back with the very faintest of lines and I cannot tell if it is evaporation line that is ALWAYS there or a faint positive? Really confused, please help!

I am almost 38 weeks pregnant and I am 2 cm dilated and 50%effaced. I went to the dr yesterday and he stripped my membranes. Since then I have had mucasy stuff coming out little by little. Not sure if this is my mucas plug or not. Anyone know the percent of likeliness that my labor will start since the procedure the dr did yesterday?

i have a 4 year old son, but ive been on birth controll since he was 6 weeks old! i have not even thought that maybe i could be pregnant but i switched to the patch and when all that stuff was being said about the medical problems from useing the patch i had to switch back to the pill. I have been talking yasmin for the past few months. But I have to tell you that i have not been taking it like i should be! i keep getting my period half way threw the month and spotting! Well me and my x husband have decided to get back together and we have been having lots and lots of great make up sex! :) and i think i could be pregnant! i dont want to tell him becasue i dont want to scare him, and im sure he will be very angry! I took a test about 3 weeks ago and it was negative! I did bleed for about 3 days and now my back hurts, i have to pee all the time, my boobs are a little sore and i cant sit still! i thought maybe its a UTI! but i also had one of those when i found out i was pregnant before!

I am 4 days over due today and have been 3 cm dialated for 2 weeks and 60% thinned as of 7 days ago. I am miserable. My back is keeping me from sleep of a comfortable day, I haven't felt my finger in 2 weeks from the carpel tunnel I have now, and I'm ready to see my baby! Are the chances of my doc inducing me okay or should I prepare myself for another couple weeks of misery?

i was doing some reading and a thought popped into my head. everyday there is a some sort of question on smoking during pregnancy.

back in the 40's 50's and earlier there was a lot of smoking going on while pregnant. and mysteriously children turned out okay. nowadays, all sorts of problems are noted for smoking during pregnancy. Is it possible the reason smoking now is a problem because the chemicals in the cigarettes have changed since then? At one point it was argued that since it was okay then, it should be okay now. But after thinking about it, there's a reason for such a difference. So using that excuse to smoke during pregnancy isn't valid! what your grandma was smoking in 1928 isn't the same cigarette you are smoking now. even though i didn't smoke with my two pregnancies, i also thought the idea of smoking was not such a big thing.. .....now i'm thinking different about it. Has anyone else had this thought occur to them?

pickles, cereal, toast, pretzels, oatmeal, exc. I'm also eating fruits and veggies, but why am I wanting so many carbs?!? Right now I want a bowl of chips in vinegar but I just ate a big bowl of it and I'm not hungry at all but I have a strong desire to eat more of it. What is going on and should I eat it or not? I'm not showing yet and I weigh about 122. (This is my first pregnancy so I dont know what to do, and I dont want to do anything unhealthy for the baby)
