Pregnancy - August 2006

After bein told by the doctor on Monday that she thinks i have a light infection that appears to be clearing up im not convinced.(i said id spoken to another doctor&i wasnt pregnant but im only going by one home preg test that turned out negative which i tested 14days after unprotected sex - i have since found out you should test after at least 19 days).

My pains seem to high up to be a urinary infection. The kidney pains seem to have subsided now but im still getting side pain where ur waist goes in on both sides, my boobs are slightly tender on the outerside, im still goin to the loo loads more than usual, im bloated more throughout the day and evening&then in the morning when i get up not so much, im extremely tired more so in the past few days. I still feel like my period is going to start any moment even though its not due until another pack of pills(im take 3packs then a break)&im having more discharge than normal.Anybody else early stages of pregnancy with similar symptoms?

NO i'm not talking about sex..........but an epidural (srry if i cant spell it right)...i watch some people get it on the baby shows and they don't do anything! my mom said it hurt really bad, but no one screams or anything.......just some opinions please

Abortion - the termination of a pregnancy.

Dilatation & Evacuation - An abortive procedure where an abortionist inserts a pliers-like instrument into the uterus. The abortionist then grabs whatever part of the baby it comes in contact with. Then, by twisting and pulling, the baby is dismembered, killed, and pulled from the womb.
Mifepristone or Mifeprex (RU-486) - a pill taken after conception that stops the absorption of Progesterone, a hormone necessary for sustaining pregnancy. Taken with misoprostol that causes the uterus to contract and eject the newly conceived baby.
Partial Birth Abortion - An abortive method where all the baby is delivered except the head. With its body outside of the vaginal canal, the doctor then uses a sharp instrument to pierce the back of the skull of the baby and scramble the brains, killing it. Then the baby is fully delivered.
Pregnancy Reduction - An abortive method of reducing the number of babies in the womb (twins, triplets, etc.) by injecting a poison into the heart of one or more of the babies while still in the womb.
Saline Amniocentesis - An abortive method where a highly concentrated salt solution is injected into the placenta. The baby takes the salt into the lungs as well as swallowing it. After more than an hour, the baby dies and the mother delivers the body a day or two later.

I would love for the 14 year olds to get offended! You made a dumb decision, and chances are because you are 14, your parents are now paying the price, hell blame it one your parents! because its not your fault you got knocked up right??? haha lol. You know there id a LOT of minors on here tlaking about getting or being pregnant. What in the hell? Are you serious. Having a baby is a great responsibility. It is not fun and games this is a human life that a child themselves can't handle. There was a little girl up here 13 with 2 kids. Where are her parents? Here's a reality check get an education, a CAREER (not mc donalds) and a LIFE then try for a family when your married. Your wasting your whole life because you want to make some baby suffer. out of five i know (friends and friends of friends), three of them already lost their baby during pregnancy..
im pregnant five months and healthy. im not doing anything that will be bad for the baby and has no plans of doing anything that will harm him

So i'm 7 weeks pregnant. I'm scheduled to get an abortion on tuesday, but might change my mind last minute.
i want a child in my life but at the same time im not ready to be there for him or her for. i dont have the strength to be there for a child currently. im still young and in school and dont have what it takes to be a mother even though i do love babies and would love one in my life. the thought of having a baby is wonderful but when you go into details and really think about it, it's NOT the right thing for me in my life right now. im not ready for a child.

anyway.. im wondering if there are any women out there who have given their kids up for adoption. tell me what its like...

i would never give my child up for adopted. after giving birth to a baby you are drawn to it and can no longer give it up... its ur little baby. its not so easy to give it up. so im wondering how mothers out there did it?

I am 4 weeks pregnant and this is my first pregnancy. I am experiencing 'normal' ? stuff? I am not 'showing' but I do notice that my stomach sticks out more? I am trying to watch what I eat, but it's more like I can't hold my stomach in like I used to, it kinda hurts to hold it in. Is this normal? Also when I stretch out, like when I yawn, It hurts in my abdomen as well. This normally doesn't happen, but I wasn't sure what the connection would be as I am only a little over 4 wks preg. I am also wondering if my stomach sticking out ( a LITTLE) could be bloating?

This isn't exactly the right forum, but there are always lots of people here to answer questions:

I am planning on getting married next summer to my boyfriend of 4 years. We have been talking about this for a while now, almost 2 years, but the problem is that we have a 6 month old son together and I am afraid that my family will be convinced that we are getting married just because of the baby, like a cousin of mine did last year.

I know this will go over great with his family, as we get on very well. His parents have been referring to me as a daughter-in-law for quite a while now, and his sister and I are good friends and have introduced each other as 'my sister-in-law' before.

Has anyone else gone through this? Any suggestions on a good way to announce it? Any thoughts on how to deal with the feared backlash?

I'm 16 weeks pregnant..and my belly is not very big yet, just a little bit,?
I think it is normal.The baby shows the normal size for its gestational age, so I'm not concerned about this. But my stomach area( not the baby area) is getting bigger too.I mean not much so that I would be concerned but I'm just curious and wondering if it's common for pregnant women, because the babby is pushing the intestines and the other organs up, or this is because I've been staying in bed, and not moving a lot for two months due to severe morning sickness, and my muscles are weak and so they let my stomach to show up like sometimes it does in some men(and women)?
So I'm not so supple anymore.
PS: I'm not fat at all, just 104 lb for 5.6 feet, I would say under weight for pregnancy, as I lost 20 pounds during the first trimester.
Sorry for such a silly question...

My "friend" said she wanted to throw me a baby shower. Months later I asked her about it and she said she didn't have any money to throw on, I told her not to worry about money that we could do one for cheap or nothing at all and even have it at my house. Well now I only have 4 weeks left until I deliver and she has avoided me for about a month now. I haven't asked her about it because I think it would be rude. So basically is it okay for me to throw my own shower? I really want on bad but can't ask anybody else to do it and I don't have any family. So... would it be bad for me to throw my own?

I'm 6 months pregnant and am pretty sure I have an infected tooth. It has been broken for a long time but never given me any trouble. (No pain, swelling gums, etc.) I know I need to go to the dentist or emergency room but all I have is Medicaid. I was wondering if I did go would they be able to pull the tooth or do whatever they need to do w/ me being pregnant? The funny thing is that I AM on antibiotics rignt now (today is 7th day) for a UTI I had/ have. But the tooth still seems to be getting worse even on the antibiotics. I am going to call my provider & doctor but I worry about until I can get in.

Im 3 months and have only gotten sick 2 times the whole pregnancy. With my son I was sick maybe once a week any and all input will help. Im not due to have an ultrasound until im about 20 weeks. I just cant wait lol.Im extremely tired and have no appeite where is with my son i ate like a cow and gained 100 pounds. My mother says she had no morning sickness with me.
