I am 37 weeks pregnant what will make you go into labor?

I have already tried castor oil, hot sauce, walking and sweet potatoes. Its all stuff people said might work. I cant try sex my husband is in prison. Any suggestions?

ok i took like 4 tablespoons of castoroil yesterday at 2 in the morning i started having contractions. I went to the er and they were 5 minutes apart i stayed til 5 in the morning and my cervics never completely opened. so they gave me a pain shot and sent me home. Now what? Also i have already lost my mucas plug which was last saturday. Could it be getting closer?

To be honest with you hon,you wont go into labor unless your body and your baby are ready.I know some people think they make themselfs go into labor but it is just coincidence.Really you dont have much longer to go and you really need to let mother nature take it's course to ensure you and baby are both healthy and doing good.But some people think sex,bumpy car rides,castor oil will make labor begin you can try if you wish,but really should just wait.

Wait 3 weeks. The baby will be healthier. The reason castor oil is supposed to work is because it is a laxitive. If you are empty, the baby might move down some. But you don't want to go into labor after taking a laxitive. Walking makes you tired..you will need your strength.
It is a known fact that breastfeeding causes your uterus to contract. That is why it is good to nurse after delivery. It helps the uterus to return to prepregnant size. SO simulate that.

The baby just isn't ready I guess I understand were your coming from I'm almost 37 weeks I'm completely miserable, but I know I can't force her out hope you go into labor soon good luck and just relax and enjoy the last few weeks.

ok ill be honest now. first start stimmulating your nipples. walk or jog if possible. since your hubby is in jail you migh want to how do i say finger yourself while sitting uo and move your 2 fingers in a circular motion. and please try the castor oil again my doctor actually reccommended it to me although i went into labor b4 i could get it, but my friend took some just this tuesday and had her baby wed (no lie). good luck and i hope you have a speedy devilery

don't try and bring it on these thing are all old wife's tales if you really want to try and induce the baby here is another one for you go for a drive along a bumpy road. did not work with me but I was not trying to induce the baby I was a little worried that it may have when we happened to have to go along a dirt and bumpy road. I know you must be so over the pregnancy thing at this stage but babies will come when they are ready.

castor oil will only give you the sshits. my doctor sia dyou have to have an oragasm that will relese hormones that bring on labor. Also alot af walking sould help... maybe at your next appointment ask your doctor to strip you membraines.... that may work (doesn't always; but worth a try) other wise good luck and congrads!

The baby will come when he our she is ready. The doctor might induce labor if he thinks the baby is late.
