My son just turned 1 month old on the 22nd of August. The last time I saw the Ped., he stated that he should be drinking 24 ounces a day of formula. He is not a "on demand" eater. I have been trying to keep him on a regular schedule of feedings, at least within 1 1/2 hours lead way...
My soon to be mother in law states that at night before he should go to sleep, that I should give him a 6 ounce bottle to make him sleep longer though the night, mind you, I have no problem getting up with him at night. She states that this is what she did 24 years ago with my fiance, when he was a baby. Mind you, she told me that her doctor recommened AGAINST IT... She is a very pushy woman at times, or so I feel and I do not feel that this is a good idea?
Well, the real question is, is it a good thing to do? And if not, how do I deal with telling her?
