well, i would start off by using a sippee cup during the day, and continue the bottle in the evening before bed. slowly weaning your child off. praise your child when you see him, or her drinking from the sippee cup. like clap your hands and say your a big kidnow. they love that!!!

There was a dog that hung around the neighborhood when my daughter was little. One night after she was asleep we got rid of all the bottles and accessories. The next morning she had a sippy cup. She asked for her bottle and we told her the puppy got them all. She shrugged and picked up her cup, never asked for a bottle again.

I would never give mine juice or anything but milk or water in their bottles. And, put the fun stuff in a juicy cup. I read of someone actually throwing the bottle out the window of the car, so the child saw the ba-ba go bye bye!. We flushed Binky and threw all the rest away with one of my daughters. I never offered coke or tea or anything in a bottle! You had to be a big girl to drink those things in a cup!!!!!

Buy a sippy cup, they work wonders. Have the cup available to the child at all times and soon you will find he or she will forget about the bottle

Transfer her/him from a bottle to a sippy cup. I'm sure you will meet some resistance-I certainly did- but keep at it and endure the screaming and soon they'll love the cup. Also tell them what a big boy/girl they are that always helper with my kids.....

a little early to worry too much about it. But you can show your baby that they are in the garbage...say bye bye to them, and go to the next step a sippy cup. My first son, took to a regular cup easy, my secnd son ( a yearyounger) who is almost 2...still has a hard time some times with the regular cup!! you have to make sure they are ready too. Dont push it too hard!

Try getting those cups taht have a bottle top, then got to the ones that have the spout on top. Maybe doing it in stages will work for you.
