We have been trying to get my daughter to take a bottle for 2 months. I make sure to leave the house... but nothing works. We've tried 5 different bottles as well. Each time she screams and hits the bottle away from her.

Any suggestions?

Try a sippy cup. Or even a regular cup (obviously with someone else holding it to help her). You could also try feeding breastmilk or formula with a spoon.

Are you offering breastmilk or formula? She might prefer a differnt kind or formula, or she might prefer it a different temperature (maybe chilled).

Unless you are curretnly trying to wean her completely off the breast, you probably don't need to have her take a bottle at all. If she'll accept a sippy or real cup, think how great it will be to never have to bother with bottles at all!

My second child wasn't happy when I offered him a bottle. It takes a few goes at it.
I held him his exactly the same way as if I was breastfeeding and put him close to the breast so he could smell me. I would offer him the breast then when his mouth was open I would put the bottle in instead (sneaky I know lol) and held it at the same angle as I would've the breast so there was no shift in position. This worked for me after a few tries. I should point out I was using my own milk from a breast pump.
Don't listen to anyone trying to pressure you into "Breast is best". To a certain extent it is but I hated it and was becoming so stressed by it that my milk supply started drying up so I cahnged to using the breast pump and it started flowing again as the pressure was off. This was also a good way to wean my baby off breast milk and I had no pain when my milk finally dried up cos I did it gradually. Good luck.

It may sound mean but when she gets hungry enough she will take the bottle. You may have to listen to her cry longer than you would like to but she will eat when she is ready. Just keep the same bottle and move it around in her mouth, eventually she will get the hang of it. Good Luck.

Try to find the Playtex nursing bottles they are hard to find but they work the best to try to change over and when you feed her cuddle her up close as you can so she is like at a breast feeding angle my niece just went Thur the same thing good luck

My oldest never took a bottle either. We tried everything. She did finally when I was gone for a few hours start sipping from a cup. That was the only way we ever fed her when I was gone. It's worth a shot. That way your daughter won't have to learn to suck from a bottle.

She'll take it if she's hungry & knows that's where the food is going to come from. If she knows she makes the decision, she'll decide the way she wants. If you want to make the decision, you have to take it away from her. You are setting her up for a life long pattern. It sounds like you have a very willful child on your hands.... Good luck.

try as many differnt nipples as you can find. I had the same problem my oldest liked NUK and the youngest AVENT. Have her checked by the doctor she may have an ear infection.
