its normal to let her cry but tell the pediatrician and make sure its nothing medical but if she is just crying to cry i know it bothers u to hear her cry but she might have gotten use to someone holding her and the only way to move forward is to let her cry. also i dont know if this will help but some babies respond to noise she might need noise turn on music or believe it or not the vacume cleaner. and then again she might want silence try both good luck. ive been there and its not fun but it wont last forever and u will wish for the day she was 2 months old and crying cause when they get older they learn to talk back lol. good luck

You don't say what you are feeding her, if formula change to goats milk, Meyenberg is best. Better still is Breastmilk. Try the colic hold. I used a front carrier with all eight of mine and I could do work while they slept. At this age they still like to hear your heartbeat. Also what is your support system like, do you get breaks? Are you calm or all stressed out? Do you and your SO fight? If babies basics are handled and still they cry it could be emotional. letting them cry at this age does not help, they still are so attached and need to feel secure. Check enviroment factors, family dynamics, feeding, gas or constipation issues. Above all take a deep breath, relax and follow your heart. Let the health Care provider know what's going on to rule out a physical problem. Don't give anything to the baby, medicine wise unless you check it out and feel right in your heart about it. trust yourself I am sure you are a great mom.

http://www.coliccure.com/ I went through the same thing mine is coming up on 9 weeks. Hope this helps its cheap too! Letting her cry for 15-20 minutes is okay as last resort. Try putting her in her car seat, stick a blanket on top of dryer, place car seat on it and let it rock. She'll love it. Also try throwing a blanket in the dryer and wrap her up tight and these are all things to deal with colic. Is her tummy hard as a rock, if it is try gas drops or put some rice in a sock, tie it up, throw it in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds and stick it under tummy. Try not to use medication, shes pure and sweet as it is! Sing to her as well. Rock her in your arms and kinda bounce with her to music. If none of these work, I have no idea but something SHOULD work and I really hope it does for you to be able to rest as well as new baby! Good luck and congrats. Oh and colic only last between 3-4 months of life so not far to go hang in there! Colic has nothing to do with gas, doctors don't know what it is and if you ask me I think its because they miss being inside of you, thats the only thing that springs to mind! Doctors really don't know what it is.

Babies that young only know the demands they need to have met and are not spoiled. She may be gassy and she likes the comfort of you holding her, maybe the bouncing helps the gas pass easier and faster.

I am a grandma and I think holding a baby is one of the most wonderful things a mother/grandma can do. Enjoy this time with her. She is gonna grow up before your eyes and you will wish you had held her more. Let the house work go for now. It will get cleaned up sooner or later.

It may be gas, try Mylicon drops in her bottle. Otherwise, get a Snugli and just carry her around. My daughter hated being put down when she was awake at that age. She demanded to be held. But by 3 or 4 months she was happy in the swing and bouncer chair.

Because you said she's in the upright position she is ok, it's safe to say that laying down bothers her. She could have silent reflux, which means she does not have to be vomiting for it to be there. I'd really have her checked out with the doctor. There are several meds that are used, Reglan and Zantac are the two used most. After feeding her, don't lay her down for at least 30 minutes. Elevate her crib mattress so she is not laying flat on her back. I wish you the best of luck. I'm sure you're very frustrated at this point.

Your baby could have colic which is stomache cramps caused from gas. Its very painful Doctors say. I found when my children had it , car rides, running the vacuum, warm baths followed by some Mylicon drops, and burping (a lot of burping) was helpful as was a car simulator (attaches to their crib/bouncies things like that) Good Luck and hope your baby feels better.

She may have gas or colic. You cannot hold her all the time you both need your space it is perfectly fine to let her cry for a little while.15-20 mins at the most.Either she will get quiet or u will pick her back up.Do not run to her every cry or she will get use to it and never stop.

As long as she is safe, and you know there is no medical issue, then it's ok to let her cry. I'm sure you need a break to. Just do the best you can. In time, she will find a way to soothe herself and that is a very good thing.

It is okay to let her cry for a little while. no more than ten minutes. After that pick her up and soothe her. Try to feed a little more maybe that will help. I have a one month old and mostly when she cries it is because she is still hungry. Hope i helped.
