My almost 5 month old baby has been a good sleeper, till now. The slightest noise or movement wakes her no matter how long she has been asleep. Before you could be as loud as you want or move her from her swing to her crib. But now you sneeze and she wakes or you try to move her and she wakes. She got her shots 4 days ago, do you think it could be that she still is sore and fussy or is it a natural thing she is going through. Please help!

Consider this...when we adults go through periods of not feeling well or even stress, we sleep differently too. She also may be starting to grow teeth even if you can's see it. So try this...it worked for my son who was born a night owl. After dinner, make her bath water just a little warmer (don't burn her though) to simulate being back in the womb. Put a little Johnson's bedtime bath in the water. Spend a little time letting her soak and relax (the same as we do after a hard day). Sing to her or whatever she likes, the point is to take your time. After you take her out, give her a full body massage with Johnson's bedtime lotion, making sure that the room's temperature and your hands are warm. Continue to sing softly to her, trying not to talk because she may be distracted. You may even want to wrap her in swaddling style again to simulate the warmth and closeness of the womb. Now, you may have to do this several nights in a row before you notice a change, but you and her will see the reward of a good night's rest! (By the way, that same routine works to get mom relaxed adn sleeping more deeply too!)

Try sleeping with her beside you to give her a sense of assurance. I used to do it with my kids (and nephews and nieces) when they were infants--put them prone on my stomach and breast as I'm lying down until they were asleep. Then gently, I turn on my side and lay the baby beside me. I have reason to believe that the heartbeat rhythm assures them (as when they were inside the womb) and they are less susceptible to sleep anxieties. If the injection area is still sore, get a warm compress and gently place it over the sore muscle area. That will relieve tha pain.

my baby is 10month old.i always play the music in everynight while she's sleeping. IL DIVO is her favorite I ever try many kind of music but she really love IL DIVO. It make her calm and sleep all night.(She had a sleep problem when she was 1-4month old.) Maybe it good for your baby too.

I know when my baby was having problem sleeping i would use a windup clock so my baby would get use to the noise and it relaxed him because of the ticking sound and also i would put one of my shirts next to him so he could smell my scent....hope this helped...good luck

I hope he doesn't get autism or some other form of redardation. I would be cautious about the next shots if he gets worse.
