My so called boyfriend keeps saying he wnt a dna test. I know it is his child 100% but he really isn't that great of a dad to his other child but this is his first son.. Also the father doesn't have that great of a rep. I don't know if I should even give him his last name or my. I really want him to be a jr but I need some advice. So should I name him all three names witch makes him a jr, Name him just 1st and middle name and use my last name or a all together different name. I am due in 2 weeks. Please help?

Just am passionate about italy even though I'm not italian + was wondering if anyone has some old fashioned, good sounding italian male names/even new ones...I like giovanni, but everyone seems to be naming their children giovanni these days...The boys first name will be Sofian (male version of sofia--dad likes it WAY more than I do, but I'll give him a say since I named my other 2 children), so if an italian name can flow w/ that that'd be great. However, sofian just doesn't fit w/ anything. But that's ok, I really want to have an italian name on the birth certif.

I find out next week if we are having a boy or girl. In all my dreams, the baby is a boy but we dont really have a boy name that we both love. We have plenty of girl names. Our 2 son's names now are Austin and Jordan. Have any suggestions for a nice strong name? (we really like one syllable names) thanks :)

What is your all-time favorite baby girl name and why? Like is it a falily name, a character in a book, whatever, just asking.

Also I've narrowed my baby's name down to Eden Faith, Avery Claire, or Aubrie Rose---which do you prefer? Thanks.

I have a son and a daughter who both have first and middle names that could be used for either a boy or a girl. I'm just curious what your first thought is when you hear their names...

Avery Christian...boy or girl?
Rowan Sage...boy or girl?

I've just been reading various posts for baby names and got to wondering what nick names people had as children or give their children now.

My name is Rhiannon, and since I can remember my dad has always called me "Fred". I have no idea where it originated from, and no one else on the planet has ever been allowed to call me that in the 21 years I have walked this earth! My 16yr old sister Sheridan somehow got lumped with "Ferret", also by my well-meaning and ever loving dad. My 13yr old sister faired the luckiest with the nick name "Possum" or "Poss".

I just find it strange how some people give thier kids nick names like the ones my dad bestowed upon us. I'm just bored and curious and wondering what goes through people's minds when they name thier children...

She is the first baby girl on my ex-husband's side for 4 generations, so this is a big deal. I like Bethany and Tristen, Emma and Ashley. What else can you think of that's kind of unique but very feminine?

My husband and I have already picked out a girls name but we are in need of a boys name. We have picked Ashlynn if we are having a girl. Ash comes from her daddy's name (Ashley) and Lynn comes from her mommy's middle name (Lynn). I'm not into common names so I'm looking or something different for boy. My husband doesnt want an Ashley JR because he said its too girly and he doesnt like his name. I agree with it being too girly. If we have a boy I'd like to name him after Ashley in one form or another. I like the name Ashden, but he doesnt because it reminds him too much of the actor Ashdon Kutcher. Any other suggestions?
