I had a baby girl on Thanksgiving and I named her Addison. However I do like Tristen or Trista.

Since it is the first baby girl on your ex-husbands side for 4 generations how about going with names within that family? All the names you listed are nice names. Could go with Bethany Anne, Tristen Michael, Emma Lou, Ashley Marie. Other names could be Victoria Anne, Valerie Diane, Melinda Sue, Caroline Rose

Hmm... If he is your ex husband, than i think her name should be what you want it to be. Forget what he wants. I like Tristen the best of your choices, because If you are aiming for unique, Emma and Ashley wont cut it. Bethany, which means "new life" if I'm not mistaken, is a cute name, but a bit old- fasioned. Good luck with being a mother! : )

Emma and Ashley are actually very common names. Also Ashley and Tristen are very unisex. Which, if you are going for unique but feminine leaves Bethany. For unique and feminine names I would go with either names from nature (Willow, Rain, Rose, Daisy, Autumn, Winter, Summer, etc.) or classic feminine names that aren't in common use (Victoria, Josephine, Carolina etc.)

I like Bethany, Tristen, and Emma but not Ashley. Ashley is kind of common.... and there are too many Ashleys in the world.
I like Bethany Tristen

I love Tristen! I think it goes well with Emma. Tristen Emma or Emma Tristen. I wouldn't add to your list of names, I had the hardest time picking out a name without adding names that other people like also.
Good Luck...

Out of the names listed Emma is my favorite. Then Bethany, then Ashley. I am not a huge fan of Tristen.
Some names that I associate as feminine (I don't know how unique they are though) that I like are:
- Abigail (Abby is so cute)
- Madalyn (Maddy is so cute too) :)
- Ella
- Lily
- Sydney
- Lauren
- Brooklyn
- Layla
- Lydia
- Grace
- Gabrielle (or Gabriella) (I love the nn Brie or Gabby)
- Nataleigh
- Chloe
- Ava
- Maya
- Alyssa
- Summer
- Kylie
- Hailey
- Savannah
- Hannah
Hope these help! SD

I love the names Bethany and Emma. I have a daughter named Emma Katherine. How about just combining the two...Emma Bethany?
A few other ideas...Maeryn/Maren, Lilah, Susannah, Lorelei, Arwyn, Bronwyn, Camille, Jessamyn

I like those names, although I never heard of Tristen for a girl (only for a boy). My daughter's name is Sadie, which is also unique and very feminine. Others I like are Cortni, Serena, Juliana, and Kallyn (pronounced Kay-lynn).

Well, I would think about what you want her name to represent. Is there a strong cultural heritage to the family? My own is Scotts/Irish so we plan to name one daughter Brianna. (The shortened version, Bree, means troublesome whirlwind, which is generally suited to a child... lol) Of course, another daughter will be named Tyranny. Try looking up names that relate to that heritage, such as gaelic names, french names...etc.
If you have a particular trait that you hope the child will have, look for names that have that meaning. But regardless of what is out there, choose a name that feels right to you. This is your child. The name has to be the right one for you. IF you don't like it or feel any connection to it, you will wish you chose something different.
