My maiden name is Brown and that name has now reached an end. I would like to somehow incorporate it into a baby name but I am having alot of trouble with this. Any ideas?

Do you know if you are having a boy or a girl??

I guess one way you could incorporate it would just be to give your baby two middle names with your maiden name coming just before the last name. For example, Callie Marie Brown Smith or Samuel Thomas Brown Jones.

I had a friend who incorporated her maiden name into her son's name and it really wound up having a nice ring to it. Good luck!!

In my family the female line has a middle name (Hxxxxxx). My daughter is the 5th generation of girls to have this as a middle name. My Married my way to Hxxx as last name so my daughter is Z. J. Hxxxxxx Hxxx.

You could start a new tradition if you have a girl :-)

If you have a boy I would just go with first name middle name Brown and your last name. Not very imaginative but you keep the name Brown in it's original form.

Well you could use it as a middle name. I had family members who named there child Brown as a first name. I wouldn't recommend it though. Some other suggestions are name the child something that means brown ie
Name Sex Origin
Bronius Boy German
Brune Girl German
Bruno Boy German
Brone Boy English
Burnell Boy English
Burnett Boy English
Donnagán Boy Gaelic (Brown, dark )
Donnan Boy Gaelic
Donnghal Boy Gaelic (Brown + valour )
Dunne Either English
Duncan Boy Gaelic
Hotah Boy Native American
Kiona Girl native American (brown hills)

Or you could choose a member of the Brown family that is most precious to you and name your child after that person. Either way you choose, your family will be honored by the birth of this child and their legacy will be carried on even if the name isn't.

I think Browning would work as a middle name for a boy. I don't know how you'd incorporate Brown into a girl's name though.

In the south it is very common to use a family name as the middle name. I would just use Brown as the middle name it will work for a boy or a girl.

you could hyphenate baby's name, or give baby two middle names the second one being Brown. When I got married I kept my first and middle name and added my maiden name as a second middle name and was able to use my maiden and married name during the transition. It was very helpful when records where concerned (i.e. school, med, etc.)

Well, that depends on what you want to use it for. Brown could be used as a middle name no problem but as first name not so much. I know of a girls name that might work. it's Bronwyn and it's welsh. i think it means fair lady or white lady or something like that. But as middle name brown could for both boys and girls even if it does sound a little strange.

Use it as a second middle name.

My married name is Brown and maiden name is Nichols which I hope to use in the form of Nichole someday.
