I've been thinking maybe one reason teenagers -normal ones- clash with their parents is because suddenly the parent isn't a god anymore.

Think about it. For the last ten years, you had all the answers. You could make it all go away with chocolate milk and a hug. Now, quite suddenly, you're an insufferable moron in your offspring's eyes. Not only that, but even on a good day, s/he honestly just doesn't need you as much. S/He can and will walk to school, for example. S/He can just go out to a movie, and doesn't need you to be there. S/He would honestly just rather go hang out with his/her friends than play catch or Monopoly with you.

My second theory is that it's also largely concern for romantic areas, as well as possibly a little defensiveness. Your kid is falling in love. You've been in love before, and you've been rejected. You see your kid moving in that place and you want to protect him. You also maybe see it as something of an invasion.

we should judge people about what is on the inside,
not on the out.
like at school
i bet that atleast 85% of the teens and preteens know
that if u wear "the clothes" (which is usually abercrombie, hollister, ect ect)
u will most likely get treated better by others
and i bet that those who are "preppy" are nice, too.
but so are the emo/goth/other labeled groups.
why is it like this..??

I need to know if my girlfriend is pregnant. I am 16 and she is 15 we've been having sex since last July. In August her periods stopped and in October her belly popped out. I'm not prejudiced against blacks or Jewish people or anything crazy, I'm prejudiced against Gothic and Emo people.

There are a few in my class that I have come to know (they were the first Goths and Emo kids I ever met) and I don't like their attitude or choice of clothing color.

I see Gothic and Emo kids walking around town scowling like the world is a horrible place and wearing all black, I'm naturally mad at them.

Normally being prejudiced is judging people by a stereotype, but all Gothic people act the same, right? They wear black, listen to screamy music, and have negative and bad attitudes toward authority and others.

Am I wrong in thinking this? How can I overcome it if it is wrong?

He's not tall enough to be a center (don't know his position, but who cares), he's quite mean, and he is a big jerk.

Yeah, my soon to be ex-best friend's boyfriend is who I'm talking about.

Nathan is a complete jackass. He is so mean and makes unnecessary cracks, a lot about me.

And what does Erin do? Sits her short butt down, laughing along.

I can't stand it anymore, I just want to beat his stuck-up butt down to the ground. I will not tell a teacher or anything else, I want to show him not to ever mess with Z.

Should I teach him a lesson, by knocking him out?

I may use my legs mostly, just because the muscle's there due to DDR practice.

If you look at my question about depression you'll see that my grades are going down. Way down. I'm not a stupid kid, I'm just not as ...I don't know... motivated? I prefer thinking about my life than thinking about lessons and I have a VERY short attention span. It's becoming a challenge to even sit down and study for 30 min.

What do I do? I'm scared I'm not going to pass the sixth grade. (My school has the PASS program. You cannot have anymore that ONE D or F.) I have an F in science, a C in humanities and spanish (maybe a D in spanish, I'm not exactly sure), a d in Langauage Arts, and a B, maybe C, in Math. How do I get all A's?
