If you look at my question about depression you'll see that my grades are going down. Way down. I'm not a stupid kid, I'm just not as ...I don't know... motivated? I prefer thinking about my life than thinking about lessons and I have a VERY short attention span. It's becoming a challenge to even sit down and study for 30 min.

What do I do? I'm scared I'm not going to pass the sixth grade. (My school has the PASS program. You cannot have anymore that ONE D or F.) I have an F in science, a C in humanities and spanish (maybe a D in spanish, I'm not exactly sure), a d in Langauage Arts, and a B, maybe C, in Math. How do I get all A's?

School counselor- see one.

Lack of focus, difficulty staying on task, waking up in the middle of the night, early morning waking, you want to sleep all the time, insomnia- those are all signs of depression. When you are depressed (low seretonin in your brain), you cannot just say, "Okay, I'm going to focus." You may have an imbalance in your brain that prevents that.

Do you have other family/social problems that are going on? Maybe your problem is not school.
Regardless, see your school counselor. You have signs of depression that CAN be helped.

Ok, I have been there.. Studying at home was just TOO hard for me when I was really depressed (it is, actually)... It was really hard being at home with no motivation, just me and the book. What helped me the most, was trying to focus on the classes at school as much as I could. In 2004, I had really hard depression and I was i my second year of high school.. I has 11 subjects to pass, and right after first test, I had low grades in 8 of them. I got depserate and I was sure I was gonna fail everything.. Then, I started to pay attention to the classes and even though I couldn't study at home, my grades started to improve and improve. In the end, i just had to retake this chem test and everything was fine.. I KNOW it's hard and not doable every day. But paying attention to the classes is the best advice I can give.. And also, maybe you should talk to someone about depression! there are some treatments that can help you, you know?
Lots of love and hugs, sweetheart, keeping you in my thoughts and prayers..

I have been suffering from post partum depression for the past one year when I gave birth to a baby boy. I couldn't stop thinking about how my husband loves him more than me and how things might be better if he wasn't born at all. Thus, I stayed away from him because I knew that I might do something I will regret for the rest of my life.

Almost instantly I went to a therapist and convince them that I need help. Among other things, I've tried herbal supplements and other book to treat depression but nothing works like the Depression Free Method. So now I'm proud to say I'm one of the happiest mother in the world. My husband loves us both very much and I thank the Lord for the blessing he gave us.

Depression Free Method?

How on earth would a school child have depression ?? I think you need to focus a bit more. You say that you are not stupid, then prove it to yourself.
