I have gestational diabetes, I have been on antibiotics for about a month now trying to get rid of a UTI, and I am also 37 weeks pregnant all of which contribute to a yeast infection. I went to the doctor, they said I have a yeast infection and I could use Monistat. I didn't know what the signs were as I have never had one.

Has anyone ever done this? What are the consequences of being so late in pregnancy? Any risk to the baby? Any other ideas?

My boyfriend and I decided to have sex about 2 weeks ago. We used a condom and everything. However, I was supposed to start my period about 5 days ago. I have missed periods before, but only by a few days. I'm beginning to become really worried. If I really am pregnant, my life would be ruined. Do you think I should take a pregnancy test ?.

Okay, so if I were pregnant, I would be anywhere from 17-19 weeks now, the problem is, I haven't shown up on a blood test pregnant. I've taken 5 blood tests, all say neg, I've even went as far as to have a quantitative test done. That was around 11-13 weeks and it was <1. My problem is, I've had a light period every month for the past 5 months but I'm on birth control. So, Friday night I took my 5th blood test, and a clearblue easy digital both negative, the c.b. easy-not pregnant. So,today I was thinking about it and wondered how the dig test works, so I took it apart and lo an behold-2 blue lines on a strip inside the test! What's that about? I'm really freaking out about this whole thing! I have a dr's appt on Wed, and I'm scared he's gonna tell me I'm prego! And before you ask what makes me think I am, I have had sore breasts, light periods, frequent urination, and worst of all, my cervix is open and soft! Which I know is a sign!! I'm so scared! Someone please tell me I can't be!

since my baby was born i have always supplemented her with formula b/c she would always be fussy after breastfeeding. She is now 8 months and I have been keeping the same routine. Breastfeed first then formula feed. I'm just afraid of my milk drying up before she turns 1. should I even bother trying to increase my milk supply? and do you think its still even possible to breastfeed 100% after 8 months of giving birth?

I had my membranes stripped on Friday.Im 38 weeks and 2 days I was a cm dialted, 90% effaced and the baby is fully engaged (has been for a month). Since Friday I have had a lot of pain in my right side where my cervix is. All day yesterday my vagina hurt really bad. It hurt to pee, cause there was so much pressure down there. Well at about 10:30 last night it started hurting even worse, and the right side of my back was hurting and moving to the front. I swore that this was it, that I was in labor because it was not getting any better and my vagina hurt so bad. Also, everytime I went to the bathroom I would have atleast a dime size piece of mucous. I decided I would rest before my contractions got so bad to where I had to go in. I rested for 2 hours and woke up with the pressure still there but no intense back pain.

Is this just one big false alarm? Can labor slow down and then come back?

What do you think is going on?

I'm hoping to become a mom before I get too old, and so I put out an ad for a know sperm donor. You see I want my future child to know who their father is at one point in their lives. Anyway, I recieved many responses to my ad and narrowed it down to one. He seems to be disease free and actually wants to know his offspring. I thought that he was a good choice. Sounds good huh? Well, here is the catch.. I was hoping that he wanted to ship the sperm for me to inseminate at home or in a Dr's office, but he wants to have make the baby the old fashioned way:O because he says that it will get me pregnant faster and frozen sperm will take too long to impregnate me. I don't know. I don't like having sex with men I hardly know, but since I haven't found Mr Right yet, have decided to have a kid on my own. I don't want sex with him, but he is adamant about it. And he wants to fly out to my home for it.I could look for another donor, but he seems to be great in every other way. Should I do this?

My son turned 5 in late Aug., however he's the size of a 6-7 yr old. While rushing him and my 14 mo. old daughter to swim class, and older woman shouted in my direction, "NO! NO boys in here, get the boy out of here!" My husband can't take him in the men's locker room, and I'm afraid he'll be scared by himself (based on several clues I've seen)....what shoudl I do? The YMCA has no policy on a ge or height range for kids in locker roms with parents.

How do I give my friend a babyshower? I've never done it. She is expecting twins. I am her best friend and the only friend she has at the moment. I have only met her mom and she has a sister that lives out of state. I've never had a babyshower for myself since I met her recently. Can I still give her a babyshower if it's just the 2 of us?

Are they laughing at the baby or the person responsible for cleaning up?

I have been having symptoms like pregnancy...i've heard that they could be PMS symptoms, but they are not like the symptoms I always get. I'm extremely tired, constipated, mild cramping with no period, gassy, and now my breasts are starting to get sore. I took a First Response a week ago, with a negative. IT's now been a week and two days since I was due for my period (I'm never late) and I took another 1st Resp. today with a negative. Should I await my period or should I get a blood test? I'm afraid of having to pay for a test if I am just going to wind up with my period two hours later. :)

My 3-year-old nephew just screams at the top of his lungs at times for no reason -- no one's calling him or touching his shoulder whatsoever. He screams and then lies down on the floor and cries whenever he hears high-pitched tunes from the tv or the sound of opera singing. My sister and her husband are extremely worried and the child specialist has been scaring them by saying that it is indeed autism and that my nephew will have to attend a special school for autistic children and can't go to a regular school. '

Is the info regarding autism on the wikipedia website accurate? His current behavior is causing my whole family and his parents tremedous distress as my elderly parents can't keep up with his sudden outbursts. Are the so-called child specialists reliable? I've heard from people that some of these medical professionals haven't heard about autism till quite recently as it wasn't part of their medical syllabus. How reliable are they, or could this condition be something else?
