My boyfriend's name is Michael. His father is Michael, and his mother is Michelle. My name is Tara, my mother is Tori, and my father's name is Tommy. Should I stick with one T and one M, or 2 M's, or 2 T's. Personally, I like the names Dana and Danica, or Delany and Delilah.

my husband & i just found out this weekend that we're expecting !!!
as i was having issues with my cycles, i'm not sure how far along i am (4-5 weeks i think?). also, i had a very early miscarriage a few months ago & it wasn't that fun to tell the the two people who knew i was pregnant that i wasn't anymore...

so, i was wondering, should i wait until i'm in the second trimester?
what are some good ways to tell our parents? (both sets are divorced, btw)

My husband's friend's girlfriend is 17 weeks pregnant and supposedly just found out. They had an idea a few months ago that she was pregnant but were in denial so she continued to smoke (not just cigarettes) and drink. I really don't like these people because of the way they are but my husband worked with this guy for a long time so he feels bad if he tells him not to come over. The other night they were over and she was smoking cigarettes and the green stuff which I do not approve of even for people who aren't pregnant. I'm sure she is still drinking as well. Do I have the right to say anything about her unborn child that she is hurting. If she is doing these things in my home can I not tell her she needs to do them elsewhere? If a pregnant woman does drugs doesn't this affect the baby 100 times more than it would a regular person? Can't the green stuff hurt the baby? I know drinking and cigarettes can? Should I say something the next time they come over and she does this?

Ok. I am 14 years old, and pregnant. If you are going to say something ignorant, know that i don't play that, and i'm not gonna listen to somepne who aint my momma. Anyways, I am a sophomore, and pregnant with twins! Me and my boyfriend have been split up since we first had sex. He's 15. But he's still my best friend. He's been my best friend since I was 10 years old. I know him oh so well, and he's not a reliable person. I don't know if I can count on him to help me with the girls. But I love him. Do I get back together with him, or just forget it and try to raise my kids with the help of my parents, grandma, and my own job?

My daughter has just turned 4 years old, she displays what Ifeel is strange behaviour. She eats sand, dirt, paper, glitter, sponge, cotton wool, foam ANYTHING. I have to watch her like a hawk. She has already had one small operation under general anthesetic to remove sponge foam from up her nose.

Even in school she has to have a teacher with her during sand play and using the glitter. She puts her hands down the toilet to try and lick the water from down there. If I put bubble bathn in the bath she licks that, the same with dish water.

Do you think that this strange behaviour for a 4 year old because she is my 4th child and the other 3 didn't do this.

I've always wanted to name my daughter after my grandmother, Vallie. I was considering Valentina and calling her Vallie but have been getting a lot of negative responses. My brother just told me it sounds like a Hispanic name. (I told him so does Nina, LOL.) Just wanting some opinions. Also, Does it sound okay with the name Aidan (her brother)? Thanks.

Oh, and IF this one is a girl... the due date is very close to Valentine's Day.

Ok, here is the situation. Someone i know is pregnant and she is planning on giving the baby up for adoption as soon as she gives birth. Nobody knows who the father is because she isn't telling. My friends and I have a pretty good idea though. We think its our buddy Frank.

Frank thinks there is a really great chance he is the father. After he found out she may be giving the baby up for adoption, Frank now wants custody of the baby (if he finds out he is indeed the father).

What Frank wants to know is...
whats the best way to gain custody? He thinks that if he goes after the baby, before she actually gives it for adoption then she will change her mind (since she would want child support from Frank), rather than Frank getting custody and going after her for child support. Frank also thinks that if he waits til the baby is given away, then he thinks it might be too late.

My husband and I made the difficult decidion that I will stay at home with the baby. I do have a small income from at-home work, but mostly we rely on his salary. What are some things I can do with the baby that will not cost much or any money?

When I was a girl we always holidayed in England at the seaside and so did I with my boys and we had a great time.
Why is it that these days so many want to fly abroad (often to carbon copies of English seaside towns in Spain or whatever)?.Some say it is for the weather - but children should not have *too* much sun anyway and so that is just selfishness on the part of the *adults* who want to show off a suntan (even if they waste money on tanning machines back here anyway!).
What with the dangers of flying (especially with the terrorist threat) and the fact that they *may* let their guard down abroad (look at the poor McGann mite in Portugal) why not take children on holiday at home? There is plenty to do if the weather is bad - and children love playing around on the beach - and in the sea if they are taught to swim first ! -

I’m 9 weeks Prego and have my 1st appointment today. Now, I know you have to have to get lab work. My question is... how do I calm my nerves? I HATE needles with a passion but I know I have to have this done. Please don’t say "welcome to pregnancy" or that Ill be "dealing with needles alot" because I already know that, BUT what I do want to know is how did you calm your nerves down? I’m so nervous right now I think I could be sick. PLEASE only serious answers. Thanks!

We will be moving within the next 6 months, and he will also move to the same town to be near her. He says that the reason he is spending time with family and friends here is that he will have lots of time to spend with her after the move. But she is 5 weeks from her delivery date, and really needs to have him around, and wants him to share in the experiences of the pregnancy. If he were moving in the next couple of weeks, I can see him wanting to see people before he goes. But the move is likely 6 months away. Are we seeing this wrong? I say there are enough hours in a day for him to see everyone, as he is not working right now. She doesn't want all his time, just a share of it. He has gone to the fair with his brother, and is taking his sister tonight, but he hasn't asked her to go to the fair with him. Would you feel hurt if you were 17?
