Why is it that when you fall pregnant everyone congradulates you and tells you that ALL pregnant women glow? yet no one tells you just how unglamorous actually being pregnant is, what with the flatulance, walking like a duck, backache, swollen ankles etc......?

Ok she's 4 months old and teething. She's also, like many baby's, got a cold. On top of it she had her shots yesterday. Doc says cold is ok. Give her baby cold meds, serynge, and use humidifier, also tylenole.
Here's my problem. On the cold stuff and tylenole she sleeps a lot. When she isnt sleeping she's very cranky and fussy.
For teething she's too young for a teething ring and won't use it. She turns down a frozen washcloth. She hates oragel and it doesn't work. Don't tell me to use alcohal as i think that's child abuse. What works? Suggestions would be great.
As far as the shots she's doing a bit better tonight but with all 3 the poor thing is in a lot of pain. She's still eating fairly good though.

I have high blood pressure and am on bedrest for the rest of the pregnancy. I've heard that sometimes the baby will come early or the doctors will induce labor earlier than the due date. Is this true?

First let me say, Much P-R-A-I-S-E!!!! to pregnant woman. You guyz are so much stronger than men when it comes to taking pain. I am single with no children but I think pregnancy is so fascinating and maraculous.

i was pregnant breifly once and i seem to remember getting them, where cramps would be but not really painful at all, more like a stretching / pulling feeling. i'm ttc right now, a little late, and having them again, but i'm kinda just figuring they'll turn into cramps soon (tryin to be realistic & whatnot). just wondering if they normally occur (last time my preg. wasn't healthy).
anyone else ever get them?

We tried out one today and it was perfect to encourage the little one to sit.

I know John Lewis used to sell them but they stopped as the material is not flame retardent.

14 year old boy (soon 15) has been giving me attitude about basic things lately. I'm getting alot of "I don't knows" or "Can't Remeber" when I'll ask a basic question. I'll then hear him tell someone else a correct answer who asks the same question. These are questions that he knows the answers to and are usually just conversational questions. It really driving me crazy and I am not asking a bunch of prying questions. These are just basic conversations like asking him when he bought such and such and he'll tell me he can't remember and then my nephew will ask him the same thing and he tell him he bought it the day before. I've had the talk about how "I don't know" or "I can't remember" or "nuthin" are not acceptable answers to questions, but he just doesn't seem to care. Any suggestions?

I have been having a discharge that seems to be more and more. Sometimes it is millky and sometimes clear. It has no odor. It does not come out like gushing, but every once in a while at work, I feel it come out and then my panties are really wet. I want to know if I could be leaking or is it just excess discharge?

i have a 3 year old son who has just stated nursery. and an 18 month old daughter with down syndrome, recently he has started to become very aggro with her and has a tantrum if ieven go to put her on the floor to play with him. i know its jealousy and if anything he gets the lions share of the attention. he is never pushed out. but he has terrible tantrums over everything she picks up and has started carrying it on when he is playing with other children his own age. i know he is sometimes spoilt. and i am probably to blame. i would be interested if anyone out there has a gentle approach to these temper tantrums as i have tried time out and it just made him worse......aaargh i need a supernanny (lol)
