Ok she's 4 months old and teething. She's also, like many baby's, got a cold. On top of it she had her shots yesterday. Doc says cold is ok. Give her baby cold meds, serynge, and use humidifier, also tylenole.
Here's my problem. On the cold stuff and tylenole she sleeps a lot. When she isnt sleeping she's very cranky and fussy.
For teething she's too young for a teething ring and won't use it. She turns down a frozen washcloth. She hates oragel and it doesn't work. Don't tell me to use alcohal as i think that's child abuse. What works? Suggestions would be great.
As far as the shots she's doing a bit better tonight but with all 3 the poor thing is in a lot of pain. She's still eating fairly good though.

My son was the SAME when it came to teething! I had no idea what to do. Then, I figured I'd try a baby 1st toothbrush with extra soft bristles. He loved it! And it helped relieve the pain. Even now he loves to brush his teeth. Try that.

If she's not using a ring just let her be. Try to make her as comfy as possible and make sure she keeps getting tylenol. It's alright to let her cry a bit. Do you have a swing? Or, try proping her up in a highchair or on a bobby. Anything to get her mind off of her teeth.

Is she grabbing at anything? My son liked the coldness of keys. I just got some old ones of my hubby's and washed them in soapy bleach water.

Good Luck!

It's normal for her to be that cranky after getting shots and it's normal for her to sleep alot when you give her meds. Don't worry about any of that. As for the teething try a wet (not frozen) wash cloth or buy the hard baby toast. Just keep an eye on her if you give her the toast because when they get soggy pieces break off so once they start getting soggy give her a new one. You can give her a toy that she likes for her to chew on. When I was teething I used to pull a shoe string on my gums and I guess it worked so if you want you could try that. Good luck

There is something called teething tablets that you can buy at any pharmacy that seemed to help my son. You just put 2 or 3 underneath their tongue (well, as good as you can). It seems to last a little longer than orajel. Also, sometimes, if they will let you, try rubbing her gums with your finger. Definitely use tylenol, or alternate with Motrin.
As for the cold, to relieve the stuffiness, you can place a pillow under the crib mattress to prop it up and that will help with the drainage. My husband and I even slept a couple of nights with our son on our chest in a recliner and it seemed to help keep him asleep when he is propped up. Hope this helps.
