check your heart, its possible you have some blood circulations going on. High blood pressure, could have diabetes, get a better doctor to examine you.

You have pregnancy carpel tunnel caused by water retention, you can start by drinking plenty of water to let your body release the excess water it is holding. Also, try to reduce the salt in your diet. It will not fully go away until after you have the baby and loose the water retention. I know it is uncomfortable but it will not last forever. I had the same thing, it is very annoying and can down right hurt sometimes. In fact I still have lingering symptoms now, like when I am writing with a pen or pencil for a long period of time or when I am driving (griping the steering wheel.) I am not sure how far along you are, but watch out for elevated blood pressure or light headedness, those can go hand in hand with water retention. If you have those symptoms see a Dr. asap. Good luck.

Most likely it is Carpal tunnel syndrome. I got that with all 3 of my pregnancies and still have it. It is very painful and it hurts. Also mainly at night time. I am shocked your doctor didn't know. My midwife got me some wrist braces to wear on both wrists. I would put them on when my wrist would start to hurt and it would help a lot.
I still wear a brace on my right wrist at night time. You can pick up a wrist brace at Wal-mart or pretty much any store these days. I found a great one at Walmart which I think it better than the one the doctor gave me. It is a Mueller brand.

Good luck and hope this helps. Wearing the wrist brace for me always helps and I'll have pain all the way from my middle finger up to my shoulder. Also sometimes a hot warm bath helps relax the arm too.

There are few things you actually can due.
What's happening is you are getting carpel tunnel syndrome (look it up on the net) due to increased swelling from the pregnancy.
Being pregnant, it's best not to take anti-inflammatory medication, so from the doctors point of view, he can't do anything.
However, you can see your physiotherapist, they can give you exercise. Also make or advise you on a wrist splint that you can wear at night to help relief the pressure.
The symptoms you have are common and normally resolve after the pregnancy, but that doesn't mean you have to put up with it.

Is your hand swollen from your pregnancy? Could be carpel tunnel syndrome. It usually happens at night and will sometimes wake you up with a burning numbness. I know cause i had surgery on both my hands for it. Sometimes in pregnancy you retain alot of fluid so it may go away after the baby is born. Ask your OBGYN what she/he thinks. Good Luck.

This is a form of carpal tunnel syndrome. It is caused by the extra weight and fluid you are carrying. It causes compression of the median nerve that runs through the wrist and up the arm.It should resolve itself soon after delivery. If not you may need a small op to loosen the tissue round the nerve.

You don’t have to get worried about it. It could be because there is not enough blood circulation due to perhaps disuse atrophy or perhaps due to the fact that part of your body was at rest for two or three hours. You can find good home remedies for this. I did find some at http://ailments.in/peripheralneuropathy.html

Is it swelling? If so that could cause it to numb. Mine did the same thing. I was border-line diabetic and my hands and feet swelled a lot.

I did the same thing with my last pregnancy. I started going to a chiropractor and it helped tremendously! If you don't already have one, call and make sure they have experience with (and a table for) pregnant women.
I'd never seen a chiropractor before and was very skeptical, but, wow, it was so great.
