Pregnancy & Parenting - 5 January 2007

My son was 14 when he last lived with his dad and his dad used to hit him a lot and I never knew about it and I hit him once and I called him a slut and a few other things. He is 17 now and I really want his custodety, he lives with his 21 yr old friend and his grandmother (who sued for his custodety in the first place) lets him. He won't come live with me because my husband locked him in the closet once.

Someone on here said that was abuse... was that abuse?

I weigh a little over a 100 lbs. and 5'7 and am trying to plan my future. I want to have children but have apprehensions about childbirth. Does it actually matter how much you weigh or body structure? My hips are the actually only thing that are womanly.

Ok, this is a bit hard to explain, but i'll be short with it.

I had my period Oct 20th, then Nov 17th. In December, I should've gotten my period on the 15th according to my cycles, but I didn't. I had unprotected sex twice between the 19th and the 29th. Today (Jan 5th) I started spotting (very dark brown, not to heavy but noticeable). I am not really cramping like I normally do with my period. I have been very tired lately, sore breasts, and overall just feel 'ick' so to speak. Do you think i'm pregnant, or I just had one of those odd cycles and am actually having a normal period? Thanks

Okay my son is seventeen and lived with his grandmother but she let him move in with his 21 yr old friend whos a guy and is studying to become a socail worker.

She has his custodety and my daughters because my husband was abusing my son and I didnt know he never told me when I was in the courtroom I thought that he was lying, so I screamed at him the whole time.

Now I'm married again to his father's brother and he really cares but my son won't come live with us because he said he's tired of me calling him names (I only called him a slut once, -.-), but hes scared of my husband because my husband locked him in the closet when he told my uncle he had to do his homework.

Do you think I can get him back? I really think so, my other husband didn't hit him that hard, they only left brusies because my son allowed it to happen.

My parents [mostly my mom] assume EVERYTHING wrong about me. It's sickening. Ok, like 1 month ago I got a prgress report from school in the mail. I was failing two classes. Now, a month later, and closer to the end of the semester, I have a D in [math] and almost a B in my other class. To my mom, that's not good enough. She and everyone else in my family just assumes I "don't want to pass high school" [I'm in 10th]. I swear they've all formed a conspiracy against me being that all they say is "you need to try harder" when I do. I've actually changed my study habits quite a bit in that I'm doing my HW and actually getting passing grades on tests and paying attention in class. I'm actually very proud of myself that I have a D in math becuase though it's no A, I know that going from an F to a D is an improvement, is it not? I'm trying am I not? They don't see that. They just see ways to make that D into a C instead of aknowledging I'm doing better. I feel unpraised..

Ok First and Formost. If you are going to answer the question with "YOU NEED TO GO TO THE ER RIGHT NOW" then please don't bother answering the question because that doesn't help me one bit.

I had an exam today to see how soft my cervex was and if I were effaced. After the exam I was bleeding which my midwife said was normal after a cervex exam. What I want to know is should I still be bleeding almost 11 hours later?! It's not a heavy bleeding and it's more like when I wipe there is blood. So Is this normal?!

Also would an exam cause back pains and stomach cramping?! I'm not dilated but my cervex is soft and I am effaced a little so I know I'm not in labor, any ideas!?

Again please don't answer my question by telling me to go to the ER because I am sure if the bleeding I had earlier wasn't normal my midwife would have taken care of it and my child is still a little ball of energy.

I have tried time out. I have tried everything I know and I cannot control her talking back. I feel like every night it is the same thing. She does not respect me. I feel like a horrible parent because I cannot get control of her. She does not act like this for her dad, it is only me. My husband works midnights so most nights it is just me and the kids. It is much worse when my husband is not here. My daughter is 4 and she has just started pre school.

Feeding Question?
My daughter is almost 5 months old and i have been given the ok to start her on stage 1 baby food well since I have started her on it all she wants is cereal and veggies, she doesn't want her bottle anymore during the day, I have also been giving her diluted juice. I LOVE my 4YO daughter but a lot of the time I actually really don't like her. She is so contrary and oppositional. She seems to do whatever she can that she knows is wrong. No matter that she never gets rewarded for this and gets TONS of praise for her positive behaviour. It just seems to be her nature. I, however, can barely stand it anymore. What on earth can I do? I want to fix our relationship somehow but I can't change who she is - nor who I am. She's only 4, what will become of us when she is 13?

please help me, my fiancee got angry at me cuz i was late comming home. he was drunk and he started yelling at me and started beatibg me with the rolling pin, im fine now, the dr's asked what happened and i toldthem i had fallin down the stirs. i'm really scared and he doesnt know that i'm pregnant(i found out last week and i just dont know how to tell him) he's never yelled at me and has never hit me untill now and i really really love him, but i dont know what i should do. i'm really scared cuz friday is usually his drinking night and i dont know if hes gonna be mad at me for what ever reason. before he didnt drink he was so good to me never yelled never said bad things to me never hit me but now when he sees me crying cuz i'm scared he says "oh mami i'm sorry u no i luv u girl" or "mami im sorry i dont mean it and i'll stop hurting you" i know he is a really great guy and i no he does love me but i dont know how to deal with the beating, (hes hit me more than 1 time) wat shold i do

on and around my tailbone. It hurts so bad sometimes it brings tears to my eyes. It hurts to walk, sit, lay, I just cant do anything without the pain. Is this normal or something that I should ask my doctor about?
