We are finding out friday if it is a boy or girl.. I thought about having them over for cake and have the cake tell it all. Like have the cake say It's a boy/girl.
Any other ideas that are cute and easy to do ?

If you can wait for your baby shower, you could try to have the guests guess the sex of your baby. You can reveal the answer with pink or blue ribbon hidden under your shirt that you can secure to your tummy with tape. You can even draw a face and place the ribbon where the hair should be.
Another idea, invite the family over and offer the grandparents a gift. You'll need at least 3 boxes all different sizes so they'll fit inside the other. Wrap the outside box it in baby shower paper that will not reveal the sex of the baby. (Pink and blue combination, preferably) Place a toy or some small gift that reads "It's a boy or girl" in the smallest box . Wrap the box with the opposite color paper of the baby's sex. Pink if it's a boy and blue if the gift inside will reveal a girl. Do this for the other boxes that the surpise box will be inside. As they open each layer, the suspense will build until they ultimately find out what the baby's sex is!!!
The cake is a good idea too. Have fun and Congrats!!!!!

I told my mother in law and all my inlaw relatives that for our daughters birthday we where giving her a little sister. Simple, and everyone was happy. The cake idea is cute, but I would just ice it with plain blue or pink icicng with maybe a blue balloon, or a pink flower. I think they will get the point. Congrats.

why not have the icing pink or blue or serve their cake slices up so you can put a small note on the bottom underneath the cake saying BOY or GIrl

you know what would be even cuter (just in case they see the cake before you want them to or something) is if you get a plain white cake and have the filling be either blue or pink. You can just color plain white cake filling with food dye.

I recommend waiting until the baby is born. The moment that the baby is born and you find out, it is just awesome and worth all of the waiting. I am on my fourth and would not do it any other way!
