It can be really tough if you're depressed enough that nothing seems positive, but what works for me is to get my mind off of whatever's bothering me by doing something positive - finishing a project, engaging in something that I enjoy doing, etc. Also, exercise helps a lot because of the endorphins.

Well at first I would tell my boyfriend all about it so that he could feel involved, but despite his best intentions he looked at me like I was a nut job. He knew I was genuinely down, but apparently my reasons if I had any were ridiculous. Now I don't tell him anything other then I'm feeling down.

NOW I curl up in bed with my cat and my dog, They are the best support when I'm down. Then my boyfriend will bring me juice, kiss me tell me he loves me and I usually take a nap.

If I'm not crying, I go outside and play with my dog.

My animals are a source of strength for me.

I don't know if you're currently pregnant or not, I am. I know that the majority of my down times is due to hormones, I do have to give my boyfriend credit, despite not being a lot of help in such times, he really does try to be.

I actually feel that way right now. I pray alot and try to keep myself really busy. If you just sit around and be sad, it will just get worse. I always ask God to take the burden away from me...then usually a few days later I feel better !
Good Luck

I paint, play with my plants, pet my dog, sleep, cry, find someone that needs more help than I do and help them. And I do yoga breathing, like get comfortable sitting or laying down. Shut your eyes, breath in through your nose slowly and deeply, hold it until you need to breath out but don't wait until you can't control a long breath out, when you exhale all the way, pause before breathing in again. Space between breath is a good time to visualize a place that you find yourself the happiest. No one can get to you there, and it can be anything you want it to be. Do that for 15-20 minutes and relax. No one can make you happy except yourself, and it is very possible, if you get enough rest, oxygen, the right food and surround yourself with the things you find beautiful. And don't forget to act silly, how many of us forget childhood pleasures? Fair winds...

I talk to a friend, have a bath with bubbles and salts, maybe some candles, I think about the funny things my kids did during the day.. have a nice warm cup of tea, put some really comfortable clothes on, and watch chick flicks.

I call up a friend and talk about it. Put on some of my favorite music - it lifts my spirits. Watch a funny/good movie. Or go out shopping - don't spend allot of money though. Pray about it. - Read my Bible - I always feel blessed after reading it.

Eating chocolate while listening to my favourite songs or playing with my pet cat and rabbit always make me feel better

Watching my children playing, jumping and laughing.
A good sleep.
Write down how I feel.
See old pictures.
Take a long bath.
Take a hike (yes, it works!) or running like crazy until I can't stand up on my legs.
Cry for a while.

Music makes me feel better.
But it depends what kind of music.
Some songs make me feel good, some make me feel worse.
Some songs are sad, but, in the end, I feel better afterwards...
I know, I'm odd...
