Pregnancy & Parenting - 16 December 2006

My friend is dialated to a 2 and they have transfered her to bayolr because she had a baby die at 23 weeks and is in high risk. She is now 32 weeks and 2 days and they are giving her breathine to stop contractions. They said if she dialates any more he will be taken via C-section. How big of a chance is it that she will dialate more? she is still having contractions but they are little ones now. Should we head up there to see her or wait? Let me know what you think or your experiances.

I started using a fertility monitor. Me and the hubby bd'd last night and this morning I tested with my fertility monitor and it shows ovulation! How long do the sperm live? Could the ones from last night get me pregnant today? Should I do it again today? Please help!

im in early labor,2 cm dilated,contractions every 5-8 minutes.the doctor said that the baby is in -1 station,what does this mean?can somebody give me an idea how to handle the contractions untill i go into active labor?what worked for you best?

I have a friend whose son is not doing well in math so the parents got the child (who is 9 1/2) some flash cards. They tell him if he studies them he will get a little something he wants. Is that strange to give a child a treat for studying? Studying is expected is it not? The parent told me they use it as a bribe to get him to study. This does not seem right to me. Your thoughts?
