Can anyone recommend any books for new parents? Just general stuff on feeding, health, things to look out for etc.

The book "What to Expect When you're Expecting" is part of a series. The series basically takes you through childhood. They are in any bookstore.

What to expect series is awesome. I alsop recommend the series "The Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy" by Vivki Iovine. SHe has follow up books through childhood. Lots of info, but actually fun to read.

When I asked a similar question a while ago, another yahoo user said to go on my instinct, as I would know best. It was the best piece of advice given to me, because although at the time I was dubious and needed a book, you don't need it. I found Gina Fords top tips for contented babies and toddlers good for reference whenever I doubted myself though. Oh and talk to other parents, yours too, I got most of my info from chatting to other mums.

Congratulations on your arrival and go with your instinct. Mother really does know best!

"What to Expect: The First Year" I lived by that book with my first one. It never left my bedside table for the entire year.
