I'm 21 weeks and know there are many old wives tales, but for a bit of fun and based on your experience or opinion, do you think I'm having a boy or a girl:-

1) I was violently ill for the first 14 weeks.
2) I am carrying very high
3) I have developed dark hairs around my belly button
4) I am always craving fruit. Lots of nectarines, apricots and peaches.
5) The baby is extremely active. Jumping and kicking all the time.
6) First ultrasound the heart rate was 154bpm, next one was 141bpm

I don't know the sex and didn't find out at the last ultrasound, but it's fun to play the guessing game.

My daughter is in pre-school and they have been practicing writing their names. She can do it and would do it for me for about 2 weeks. But now when I ask her to do it for me or to practice writing it she always says she doesn't want to. And even if I finally talk her into doing it she acts like she doesn't know how and will write/draw something that looks nothing like her name. I just need some suggestions. I don't want to punish her b/c I don't want her to be scared of learning or confuse learning with getting punished.

I lost my pregnancy by miscarriage in October. Everytime see a pregnant woman I feel so terrible inside, like it will never happen for me again. My next door neighbor is pregnant right where I should be- same due date I would have had, and it's hard for me to talk to her without wanting to cry. Somehow I manage to be tough and friendly though. Oh, plus...my son (6) told her about my baby that is "not in my tummy anymore" (you know how kids are) but she STILL rambles on and on about her pregnancy to me when I see her. I don't get it, she says she has lost two babies herself.

I really feel so sad and sometimes, I just want to scream and ask God why, but I know that will do no good. Things happen. Ijust want to know if anyone else out there has these feelings and what do you do to make them subside? It hurts so bad, especially around the Holidays.

She called her Dr. but he just said "Go to the ER if you think you're really sick." Ugh. Her fever was 101 but is gone today. Does this signal the beginning of labor? Should she go to the ER?

My good friend has been sleeping with his ex-girlfriend now for the past couple of weeks. He is 28 and has just left for the Military. His ex-girlfriend has 2 children, 1 son that is 7 from a previous long term relationship, another daughter who is about 8 months old whom she had with her current boyfriend (possibly her fiance'), who is unfortunately in prison till february serving time for a series of traffic violations/violation of probation (I dunno something not too serious-what I mean is he didn't commit any felonies). This woman has just found out that she is pregnant with my friends baby. What would you do if you were her? or what would be the best (morally ethical) solution to this? or My wife is friends with this woman, What kind of advice would you give her if you were my wife?

also, I think that she has every intention to stay with her current boyfriend. (who I'd like to add is really a nice guy who cares for her)
-don't mention Jerry Springer I already thought of that!

Being a man, I'm in uncharted waters on this question.

My wife and I have a son, and she nursed him after his birth. But I was under the impression that is "dries up" if a mother doesn't keep it going (hence the breast pump).

So based on this recent news story about a stranded mother that nursed her 4 and 7 year old daughters... can a mom just "turn it back on" after 4 years?

Okay, I was wondering if you are pregnant...do you have any clear or white discharge while being pregnant? Or if you are having discharge then you know that you are NOT pregnant.

I took a pregnancy test today, and supposively if ONE line shows up then you aren't pregnant...and if TWO lines shows then you are pregnant...but I think I did the test wrong because I was trying to hurry and do it in the school bathroom.

It had One line, and then on the right side where the 2nd line was suppose to be.....there was blue, but slightly visable...it did change from white to slightly visible blue.

I am trying to have a baby, but I have been on Birth Control since I was like 12, due to irreg. Periods, and I have just completly stopped putting my BC patch on, and when I did I have a normal period. I was wondering what are my chances of getting a fast pregnancy, and if not a fast one, then how long it may take?!?

I am 24 weeks pregnant. This afternoon I got up and felt lower abdominal muscle pain as I lifted my legs to walk. I did not do anything today to make this happen (such as lift anything or do anything extreme). I am wondering is this is just another joy of pregnancy, or if I should worry. It does not hurt when I am sitting, even if I lift my legs. It is not a cramp, either. So I am not worried about early labour.
