Pregnancy & Parenting - 27 September 2006

I am taking a child development class this year in school, and my assignment is to find 4 baby names (2 girls and 2 boys) for one those baby dolls we have to carry around for the weekend (so we will have a choice of what we like best) ... but I can't think of any good girl names .... so far all I can think of is Bridget which I like ... but does anyone else have any good ideas of 2 cute girl names ? I am 22 weeks pregnant with identical twin girls. My last blood test indicated my white blood cell count is at 24.6, and should be between 4-10. I am not visibly or noticeably sick. I do feel run down, but just thought it was being pregnant. I was advised to take antibiotics and come back in 3 days for more blood work. Has anyboddy else had a similar exoerience, or have any advice?

I have a 6 year old son that has been in trouble almost everyday this school year. He doesn't listen to his teacher, or adults, can't concentrate, and picks fights with other peers. His father and I are going through a divorce since January and I know that is affecting him. What should I do? I tried the taking away toys, tv, spanking, grounding and all that.

My three year old loves cars and construction toys. She'll play wth barbies and her favorite princess is Cinderella, but if you were to put a barbie and a car side by side she would grab the car. Is it confusing to let a little girl play with boys toys or is it too early for that to be a problem? I think it's fine for her to be interested in cars and fixing things, I was just trying to get some more input from other parents. I always seem to get strange looks when my daughter places her hot wheels on the counter at the store.

I took an ovulation test on sept 22, it was positive for lh surge. So it said i would be ovulating in the next 24 to 48 hours. I had sex on 23 and 25. today (27) i feel real crampy and my lower back hurts! Yesterday i took a ovulation test and the other line was very faint so i was negative for the lh surge! I'm confused, it already had detected the lh surge. Also today i discovered a white, thick creamy discharge. (not a lot) what is going on! Am i ovulating or am i maybe pregnant? What's going on?

When my brother in law and his girlfriend lived near by my husband and I would go and visit, I would always find their kids drinking pepsis. Is this the norm, do other parents let their small children drink caffinated sodas? My three year old is allowed an occasional soda, but always sodas that are caffine free.

In my opinion: It is. A fetus is a living thing, is it not? It grows, it has a heartbeat from the time it is conceived, it will eventually become a full grown infant so therefore it is a living thing. Is it human? Well, that fetus isn't going to grow to be a frog or a horse is it? No, therefore it is a human. What is murder? Well, the dictionary defines "murder" as the premedidated killing of a human being by a human being. Well, when you kill a fetus (a tiny human) isn't that murder?
