I'm paranoid, anyways, about losing my hair, but I'm seriously losing a freakin' flying squirrel when I wash my hair. I'm not going to go bald while I'm pregnant, am I?

mine did the same thing and I was terrified.....i though, no way can I wash and LOSE this much hair everyday. So, I started washing every other day and I just lost more hair. BUT, I never went bald. Now that I'm through with my pregancy by many years, I realize that I was being a little extreme but I didn't think so at the time. So, even though its hard when you see all that hair, try to relax, you won't go bald.

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR PREGNANCY!!!

No, you won't become bald. I had the same problem and talked to my doctor about it. You shed more hair at the beginning of the pregnancy and after you have the baby. Its just hormone changes. But don't worry, you will not become bald. You actually have more new hair growing everyday then you can lose in that same day. Congratulations by the way.

no u wont lose your hair. you know you shed as much hair as you grow a day.

going bald because of pregnancy is a myth just like losing teeth because the baby sucks all the calcium away that ones not correct either.

Mine did the same, I thought I was losing my winter coat or something (woof). After I made it into my 2nd trimester, it started to get thick any shiny though. Started growing in strange places too, like on my quickly growing belly. The doc said it was all normal, and I was not going to turn into a monkey. Yay for hormones I guess :-( Good Luck!

Are you married? Stress and depression from being pregnant as an unwed mother can cause all kinds of problems including your hair dropping out. Your baby is at risk too for being born premature and very low birth weight. If you're married, pass this on to other unmarried pregnant couples.

dont worry so much. changes are normal during pregnancy all kinds of strange changes. you will not go bald! but there will be lots of strange things happening. talk to an obgyn they will make you feel more at ease with all the changes that are sure to come. prepare for alot of changes in your body and your life and enjoy every moment. congrats and lots of luck

usually people's hair gets really nice and thick and shiny when they are pregnant from the hormones, increased blood flow, and prenatal vitamins they're taking, but then it all falls aout and gets dull again once the baby's born. You're body's probably just adjusting, but if it is falling out, just think inevatibly it's gona happen to all us pregnant ladies.
