Pregnancy & Parenting - 11 August 2006

We want to put our 5 wk old in day care, but they told us that even if we don't bring him in some days we would still be getting charged for it, so we have to put him in family child care.

My question is what type of questions do I ask when I interview these people?? I kind of have trust issues especially with people who are going to be taking care of my baby, and how much should they get pain hourly?? This is my first baby, and I've never dealt with babysitters or anything before..

Any advice would be helpful..

Which of the following would be better?

A.) To have a childern now while both me and my husband are in college, while we have very little money and are Still Young.

B.) Wait til we have more money, a house(apt. for now), things that would be more fitting/convenance to have while the kids are around, and we have jobs that are stable, etc., etc.

C.)None of the above; Too Late. (Past ripe age to have kids(infertile), or we put our careers 1st instead of kids).

Chose your answer wisely, I am on birth control, which means by the time we both get out of college we both could be infertile (he will be 30 years old and I will be 26 years old) and it could be too late.

We both want to have childern but I fear it may be to late if we wait. But if we do not wait however, I may be not be ready right now. So tell your opinions and what you think, what you would do, or any ideas you may have. A lot of couples have chose option B.) To wait til they have whatever and its to late.

I take care of my son and his cousin during the day and they have started to play with just about anything but their toys. Infact their new favorite play things are milk jugs. They just like to carry them around and bang them on the floor. Its really cute and they don't hurt eachother with them, but its also really weird. They do this with alot of weird objects, just playing and not getting mean or trying to eat anything. Should I just let them go for it or should I discourage them and try to make them play with their toys?

He is not my child, this is a day care so I can't hit him in anyway! Time out doesn't work. I know he knows what he is doing because he'll look to see if I am watching him. as soon as I look away he is into everything!!!! I'm getting really close to asking his mom to find someone else. My son, who is 14mos old, poops at least 5 times a day (it was 8 when he was an infant). Is this healthy? He poops so much that he has diaper rash at least once a week. And sometimes, for instance right now, he has it so bad that he screams and puts up a real fight when it comes to getting changed. Last night he was so sore that it woke him up from a dead sleep. I have used everything, A&D, hydrocortisone, balmex, huggies diaper creme... And the idea to use a warm washcloth is nice for people who are at home all of the time. I would have to be home 24 hours a day to be able to use that method with the amount of times my son poops. Anyway, I don't want to see my son in pain anymore. Yet, unless you are checking his diaper every 15 mins, it's difficult to always get the pop off right away. Is there a type of food I can avoid feeding him to prevent this? What can I do??

I am four months pregnant with a so far healthy baby. The one problem I have is that I have trouble eating. Food has just lost its appeal and flavor. I haven't gained any weight and I'm a little concerned. If I don't eat, the baby doesn't eat. Don't get me wrong, I DO eat. Just not a lot. Any Advice?

hello. i am a preteen grl. i am overweight, but very athletic. i play all kinds of sports( click on my avatar). i hav lots uv muscle..but lot more flab. i don't even eat junk food most of the time, i cut it out of my diet. ive been dieting but my results r very slow. ive been depressed about this for a while. my friends say im not fat( mostly cause i can school them in a danceoff, and a basketball game), but to others im a fat joke. should i continue to diet?

My 2 year old and my 7 month old baby girls just started going to a babysitter while my husband and I are working. For the last week or two I have heard my 2 year old call her babysitter's husband daddy. And, he answers her without correcting her. I don't want to correct her in front of him for fear of hurting his feelings, but her daddy loves her very much and would be crushed if he knew she was calling someone else daddy. Is this normal? I am a 23 year old female and my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for a long while now. We have been together since we were 14 and got married when we were 18. We have been having totally unprotected sex for the past 4 years. On average 3-4 times a week. We are having no luck getting pregnant. I have never been on any type of birth control and we are both our only partners. What can we try? Also another thing I was wondering is, after he does his business inside of me he pulls out immediatley and we stop. Would it help at all if after he ejaculated if we continued having sex for a bit to kinda make it go deeper inside, or would it help to continue having sex until he ejaculates in their a second time. Last Sun I suffered a missacarriage. I bled Sun night and Mon night and that was it. I just noticed this morning I started bleeding again really heavy and having cramps. I dont know if this is normal or something I should be concerned about. Any answers would be great. Thank you so much
