A midwife is a woman who helpsa woman, esp. during pregnancy and birth. They can take the place of (but can also be in addition to) a doctor and are much more personal, and friend-like. Some states medical plans pay for midwives. They also usually are liscensed in homeopathy, herbology, and/ natropathy. They can assist you in a hospital, home, or birth center birth. Does you or someone you know need a midwife? Would you like to know more about natural birth, birth tubs, home-birthing classes doulas, birth assistants, or midwives?

I recently found a website called www.malepregnancy.com and I'm wondering if this is true. It seems legit because it's linked to a hospital's website, but it's just really hard to believe! Does anyone know if there really is a pregnant Mr. Lee out there and if this is true?

I have to threaten him constantly to make him do his homework. I threaten to take his TV away or I threaten to not let him go outside, or I threaten to not let him have a cookie, whatever I can think of I say to get him to do his homework. Why is there such a resistance? The school's consequence for undone homework is the student must do it during recess. I actually allowed my son (once) to turn in incomplete work so he could experience the consequence. He didn't like that one bit. I also help him whenever he needs help, no problem. Is this normal? Or, is my child being difficult. I don't think he should be rewarded for doing homework, especially when he gives me such a hard time every time. What do you think?

My two-year-old grandson does the strangest thing. Books, toy cars, food, books, blocks (anything else he can find)..he lines up in straight lines. All items must be the same size or he discards them. Colin gets upset if someone messes up his hard work. He is very thorough in the process. Items are next to each other, facing the same way -- all in a straight line. If he runs out of room, he will start another row. It is amazing how he does this. But I am leaning towards the thought that he might be developing a compulsive/obsessive behavior disorder. Please respond.

Thx,

My husband and I have Two girls of our own, ages 12 and 8. When I was 25 I had to have a hysterectomy. We decided to become foster parents so we could have more children. We have been foster parents for a total of 8 years before deciding to adopt. We adopted two little girls and we are very thankful for them, but I have wanted another baby for the past 6 years. The agencies that we have worked with, only had older children. We do not have the money to adopt a child threw an adoption agency and the state says that they dont have any babies that need homes. Having a baby is all I can think about and it is making me crazy. I feel empty inside and cant seem to do anything that helps. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Is this country so prude that it can't tolerate something so natural as a mother breast-feeding her child? I was shocked to hear about people getting bent over the issue of BabyTalk (distributed in doctors offices) which showed a child breastfeeding. It was a well done pic from the side (no nipple or anything), yet people still got squeamish over it.

He doesn't pull his pants down or anything. Everytime I turn around his hands are down his pants. He says he does it because it feels good and makes him happy. I don't want him to think that playing with it is a bad thing just a natural one. I have had many talks with him but nothing seems to work. Help.

Hi. I'm 13 yrs old and I go to middle school. I was an immigrant from the Philippine Islands and I jsut got in the USA a year ago but now I'm a permanent resident(not an american citizen). My problem is that my classmates in my school react to me so differently and unkind. They think I'm weird and outrageously different from them. They treat me like I'm an animal whom which they can make feel bad and harrass any time. My description of my self is I'm smart, I'm an "a" student, kind and very helpful. Sometimes, they don't want to be with me, they just go near me if they want me to answer a question on our assignments. I'm really sad of this because in my former school, I'm very respected and not used as an answering robot. Sometimes I even cry when I get home. But in my first american school in California, I'm treated nicely but when I moved here in Connecticut, I'm treated as described above. Is it because I am one of the best students in our class and they are jealous?

My 5mo daughter is finally getting over a serious bacterial illness. Now I'm trying to clean up all her sheets, clothes, toys, etc to get rid of old germs. Her stuffed animal toys say not to machine wash. How can I clean them in a way to ensure they are germ-free? Some are just regular stuffed animals, some are stuffed with squeakers/rattles inside.

I'll have to find a website. I bet turban-wearers could answer it well.
Here's one - Ditch the runes and crystal balls, toss a towel and see how it lands.
