I mean, people say it costs like $500 a week for a normal healthy baby. Well, assuming a baby shower will take care of all the clothes for the first few months, grand parents giving all the toys (bibs,bottles), theres, food, diapers, medical bills, pictures....what else? We're just trying to get an idea of what to expect. Isnt $500 a week a bit much?

In the state of Michigan if you get pregnant and dont have any money the list goes on and on with the charities our taxes pay for. Health insurance that covers everything without a dime to pay 4 a copayment. Food stamps to pay for all the food. Wic to pay 4 all the formula. Section 8 will pay your rent. Hud will buy you a brand new home. The state will pay 4 a new car. They will also pay $1200 to fix a car. They will pay 4 your gas. They will buy you clothes. They will give you carseats. The list goes on and on and on. How will they get people and teens especially 2 stop having kids if you live better once you have them. I work my butt off 40+ hours a week and my husband goes to college full time so we can have a good life. The girl I work with has 2 kids at 18 walks around on a cell phone all day. In the city I live in we have more teen pregnany then any other city in MI and people wonder why! Michigan has one of the highest unemployment rates. Why not make it just a little tougher?

My nephew is 3 1/2 and still in DIAPERS not even trainer pants. I asked his mom why he does not wear trainers and she said "He wont let me put training pants on him, only a diaper" I am afraid this kid is going to graduate high school wearing Depends..any suggestions?

I have a 21/2 month old boy. For his first 6 wks he got breast milk, and a month ago I switched to formula (I dried up completely) I asked the Doctor and she said to feed him between 3-4 oz at his age. My mom and friends, and even mother in-law are telling me to put cereal, or dry rice in his bottle to make sure that he is getting full. They also tell me to give him a couple of oz of juice everyday. I asked the doctor and she said no! But she would not explain why. I have been told by another doctor to give him apple and prune juice to help with constipation. My doc is also against this, Should I switch Doctors, Should I take everyones advice, with giving him rice or juice? Can this hurt him, and How?

Ok I posted before but didnt get the kind of answer I needed, My child is 18 months knows the potty thing, will say potty and will go sit on the potty. she wants to wear the big girl panties and such but i just cant get her to actually tinkle in the potty she just sits there and not often but will sometimes tinkle right after she gets out of the bathroom. What am I doing wrong, any suggestions? We tried to brib her with big girl things, and we are patient, and she even has her own lil seat that goes on the big potty. We took her to the store yesterday in big girl panites she didnt go at all but as soon as we got home she had an accident although we tried to get her to go potty at the store and when we got home also..... Im lost....help!

My husband and I were going to try to get pregnant around this time but decided to wait. I have been feeling all the pregnancy symptoms (slight weight gain, sore nipples, darker nipples, sleeping like 14 hours a day, eating weird things, emotional) but I have taken 4 pregnacy tests and all negative. I was supposed to get my period on July 13. I got some spotting starting on the 16 and ending on the 19th. Could I still be pregnant and just not producing enough HcG? this is about my ex let me tell you the story.
My ex and me went out for a couple weeks but I was soo in love with him. we talked for a long time b4 we got together. Then we break up cause he said he wanted to see each other again in person first and would ask me out then if we had the same connection. Two days after we break up he goes out with his ex again. He assured me this wasnt his intention. He calls me and talks to me still and asks me if im ok everday. But This is really tearing me apart. he has got me to the point where I dont think I can date again for a long time. and when I said tht I couldnt hes like "why? u waiting on me or something" and I said no hes like "were u that in love with me?" The real answer was yes. I was. He hurt me soo bad. I just cant get over him. Im still madly in love with him. Were still like Best friends but I just cant take it. Then hes like "when we go out again,whenever that is" like we mite actually go out again. Im confused. help please?

My almost 8 month old daughter started throwing up 4 days ago, the second day she threw up she had 101.7temperature and i took her to the doc, he said she may have the stomach virus and we should just focus on keeping her hyderated, give her small meals more freaquently, today is the 4th day she had some fever and I gave her tylenol, her feeds have been extremely small and I weighed her and she has lost weight, looks a little pale, when will this infection go away, its killing me
