My brother's girlfriend was drinking soda, and the doctor said no. She started to drink Gatorade instead, and he yelled at her for that and said she'd be better off drinking soda. I think that might've been because of the calories though.

Drinking Gatorade or any high calorie sugary drink is bad for YOU, including too much fruit juice. However, I let my family drink that stuff when they are playing a lot of ball and out running around in the 98 degree weather and actually sweating it off. Small children should not be given sports drinks unless they are diluted w/water because they are too concentrated. The evil thing about sports drinks is that folks think they are nutritious because they are associated w/ "sport". Lots of water is great for your baby and for you, but if you want sugary drinks, watch your serving size. good luck w/the baby!

When drinking any type of drink make sure that there is not a whole lot of Vitamin A. Too much of this can cause problems with the baby. I would just keep it in moderation and have some decaffinated tea. I lived off of that since you need to drink more and need to keep the cafeine down.Best of luck!

Electrolyte replacement sports drinks are fantastic especially with hot weather! -------------
While PG it's good to drink 48 oz fluid per day. Drinks with caffein don't count since they are a diueretic and I would avoid artificial sugar.

It will be good for the fetus, especially if it's following its training and workout schedule. Have you had your WeeWorkout Inter-Uterine Gymnasium equipment installed, yet? It's not exactly a piece of cake, but it's SO worth it.

I think you'll get better advise from your pediatrician than you will from a message board.

I've heard that too much sodium could be, but as long as you don't over-do it, you should be fine.

most likely not, it is probably good for you as it contains the electrolytes that your body needs when it is working hard.
