Pregnancy & Parenting - 6 July 2006

I know that my 2 yr. old daughter is a handfull, but I think its just her age. My whole family says that she is that way because I spoil her and dont disipline her enough. When we are at the grocery store I never spank her or even harshly get on to her because there are too many nosey people out there who would call the authorities on you for spanking your kid. My family thinks I am wrong to let her get away with the fits in the store.

well I just wanted to comment on the eating bit...I am six weeks pregnant and my docter says that it is okay to drink soda in moderation, to eat cold sandwich meats that are zapped in the microwave for a bit, and to watch those fish with high percentages a mercury in it...shark, swordfish---don't eat those so don't have to worry about that...but albacore has very high levels in it so just stick to light tuna in water. Other than that...I can enjoy what ever I want...and eating smaller meals daily will help as well.

I've read many questions so far and have noticed the person asking and a huge majority of the responders are women. No offense. Child birth alone gives women the one-up on men. Nonetheless, men, like myself, are quite capable of parenting. I'm a single-father of two great kids, who I love more than life itself. I'm also one who wants to raise them right. Sometimes, my situation makes me feel really isolated and alone. So my question is this: Are there any other men in here?

My son has been wetting all the way through his diapers at night. I am trying to avoid washing sheets every other day. We have limited his liquid intake an hour before bedtime, but 2-3 times a week he wets so much that it comes through his diaper. Considering having him wear "plastic pants" (if they still make them, do they?). He wears Huggies Supreme diapers, which I thought were the most absorbant...any help would be appreciated.

I am 5'7 175 pounds. i am in shape other than my pooch of a stomach. I had a baby boy 5 months ago...what exercises ar good at targeting my midsection? I am defintely heavier with the 2nd after i gave birth than i was with the first. My husband and I have been having sex the ole' natural way, since January of this year. My last period was June 6th. I'm suppose to start on July 3rd which was Monday. I'm not ready to have children yet for another few years but I have to ask this.. If I am very very very bad at handling pain and I faint from just a shot.. How do I handle giving birth? Would doctors give me a C-Section birth for this reason alone or just from me wanting it or can they only give it if the baby is breached?

If you had a C-Section was it painful? Did you miss that first moment when your child comes out?
