I had two girls and wanted a boy. I did a lot of research on the subject, so let me give you the information I have found. Girl sperm a larger and live longer, they are also slower. Boy sperm are smaller, faster, and die sooner. Therefore, to give the girls the best chance at the egg, you want to have sex a few days before you ovulate. Get a few of those ovulation kits from the pharmacy, they are near the pregnancy tests. The instructions will say to use one, starting on a certain day in your cycle. I reccommend using one every 12 hours instead so that you can narrow down the window a little more. Do not have unprotected sex that first month, or maybe even the second, just to make sure you know your approximate ovulation day in your cycle. Oh, and mark all of these dates on the calendar as you go. Then, once you have figured out approximately when you ovulate, time your sex to be 72-36 hours before you should ovulate. And DO NOT have unprotected sex within the 36 hours before your ovulation or at least 48 hours after your ovulation. That is primetime to make a boy!!
Now, positions. This is important because the further the man is penetrated, the shorter the race for the sperm. And guy sperm are the sprinters. Therefore, the best postition for a boy is "doggie." The best position of a girl would be missionary. And the woman should not reach climax because this cause the acid/base levels to change that the girl sperm don't like.
I hope this helps!

Your odd of having a girl are the same as anyone else's odds. Which is actually a little less than 50%, I think its about 49% for a girl.

I was just researching this online today. I have four boys and want a girl too. There were two thing I read. The thing they had in common was not to have sex too often because that brings the sperm count down. The difference was to have sex four, four five or six days before ovulation. You can enter your last period on a website called yourdays.com and that you want a girl and it will figure the days out for you. Also there was a study done about o+12. Have sex about 12 hours after ovulation. I am working on the yourdays.com calender trying to have a girl.

You actually have a 51% chance of having a boy, 49% chance of having a girl. It's the same for everyone. Statistically more male babies are born than female. There is really no tried and true method for conceiving one or the other. Yes, male sperm are faster swimmers but they die sooner. Female sperm may be slower but they are more resilient. What this means is that if you have sex a few days earlier (if you know when you will ovulate)you could increase your chance of a girl but it's still really anyone's guess.
Good luck!

it depends. It is not as 50/50 as you would think. Shallow penetration and lots of sex make it easier to conceive a girl. Deeper penetration makes it easier to conceive a boy (don't know about the frequency, though). I know three times this method was used, and three times, it worked. there is a whole book on it by dr. Shettles called "How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby."
PS The lots of sex for a girl is before ovulation and also because since girl sperm live longer, they are more likely to already be at the top waiting to fertilize the egg when it releases from the ovaries.

Ok, have sex 2 days before ovulation, do not have sex right on ovulation day or after, The man cromosomes are XY, if the sperms live inside of you for a while before ovulation, the cromosomes Y are weaker and die but the cromosomes X live much longer so if you leave the sperm inside of you for a couple of days before ovulation, most of the cromosomes will be X so you will have more chances of concieving a girl, if you do it the day your egg is released you get more chances of having a boy because the cromosome Y is very strong the day of the release of an egg. But at the end, it is all 50/50.

I have 3 girls and when we got pregnant with this one we figured it was a girl also because between both of our familys there is only one boy. But when we had the ultra sound in april we found out we were having a boy. So you could get lucky like we did because we NEVER thought we would have a boy.

A lady that I know just had her 3rd boy last month...Your husband must have good male sperm...It's all up to him. I did hear that if you want a boy you should wait until the last moment that you are ovulating to concieve...Girl sperm lives longer but slower, boy sperm die faster but swim faster...early a couple days before ovulation would be best for you to get a girl. Good luck.

No offence, but ridiculous question!
Unless there's another option that is just waiting to spring out of your chest in alien-form, chance's 50:50!
