I've read many questions so far and have noticed the person asking and a huge majority of the responders are women. No offense. Child birth alone gives women the one-up on men. Nonetheless, men, like myself, are quite capable of parenting. I'm a single-father of two great kids, who I love more than life itself. I'm also one who wants to raise them right. Sometimes, my situation makes me feel really isolated and alone. So my question is this: Are there any other men in here?

I'm not a man, but I need to say you should be proud of yourself, Big Daddy Sarge. Most men don't have the cojones to take on parenting by themselves. They dump their kids on their female relatives and think they're doing right if they send a little money now and then. Single parents, moms or dads, all feel isolated and alone at times. Hang in there. Read some parenting books, not in order to follow their advice, necessarily, but to see what other people are thinking about various aspects of childrearing. When your kids grow up, and look back at how they were raised, they will truly be proud of you.

Yep. I have a daughter from a previous relationship. She is good kid very smart, but until I got married 6 years ago I did a lot of the raising by myself on my weekends. (Daugher is 12 we broke up when she was 6 months)

Good luck and keep your head up.
